Society & Culture Fundraising Ideas

Remove this Banner Ad

Hi all,

Would like to hear some of your great fundraising ideas for junior sports clubs in particular.

The ol' Bunning sausage sizzle is a classic and one we are seriously considering, however, we would like to find out more ideas that could work to help alleviate the costs that these kids pay to play the sport they love.

Ideally, we are hoping to use the funds raised to subsidise the costs for their food when competing at a week-long tournament.

I'm all ears!

Say for example it's aussie rules. You put a wheelie bin 35 metres away and charge $5 for the 3 shots. If you land the ball in the bin you win a new Sherrin. Watch the competitive nature of the Dads take over and next minute they've dropped $100 on it.

Raffle. (Need to know someone or have a contact/sponsor who can donate something decent).
Quiz - Entry fee, prizes.
BBQ/Drinks - (Harder to organise as you have to recap the costs of what you spend).
Fate - Doesn't have to be massive. But combine it with the BBQ and have stuff like -nearest to PIN, Fire an air gun/archery at a target, jumping castle (if there are young kids), Pool/Basketball/Table Tennis etc comp gets people involve and more willing to spend. Again hard to do but you can net a lot of cash.

You know what else they would drop $100 on - getting to see sim tittays while their car gets a good scrubbing
