Hopefully Ablett signs with us but im saying even if he does sign i would still be keen to trade him if we can get pick 1 and another top 5 pick.
Not that i think it will happen anyway.

I say Ablett will stay at the club for life and there would have to be something massive happen for him to move. Honestly there is such a push for Selwood to become captain and i don't see why. Yes he is a good footballer has the courage to go hard at the ball etc. but how does that make him good captain material? I am not trying to put him down as he has topped my list of favourite players for ages now but i don't see the captain in him unless i am missing something.

Exactly . Selwood will be captain material, no doubt, but not for a little while longer. Why not let the kid play footy without any extra BS to deal with.
Ling is the next captain. He already marshalls the troops and has shown the qualities required for leadership on and off the field.

Seeing the game last night, it's pretty obvious Scarlett is the captain in all but name. Our best, most needed player. Hawkins only kicked the goal from outside 50 cause Matty told him to kick it. The way he commanded the players after the game to have a 'chat'. I'm expecting Harley back, but we know who is in control out there, ready to turn up the heat.
