Very tall forward line, having four talls is probably one too many.

Problem being is that all four should be in the side i reckon, so i dunno

It's great having so many KP forwards coming through, however, how will they fit? Dawes, Cloke, Rusling, Reid, Rocca...

KEY NOTES:

Reid and Rusling are lighting quick and have the tank to work down the wings and lead up hard, we would have the option of rotating Rusling, Reid, Rocca through FF which would be a headache for a lot of teams.

Leon would be rotated through the forward line also. If we can get Bucks back well that would just take the load a bit off everyone!!!

I see only 3 talls there, Rusling isn't tall.

I don't mind that lineup, but Davis will be rotating through the midfield with Didak and Bucks.

other notes are that rusling may not make it due to injuries but he like reid have massive pace advantages over many ppl[reid is as fast as marc murphy]. so these guys can play a wing. and with reid hes pretty much a utility i've seen some willy games and he is able to play down back if required.

that being said with such a versitile forward line it makes it very hard for ppl to match up on.

I think Davis will be rotated through the midfield too. I think Cloke has made CHF his now. Dawes will play the Rocca role I think.

I think that dick will definitely rotate in the forward line, but will mainly be used as a midfielder, thats what he was drafted as. Wont play a leon davis role. His kicking skills are the best I've seen from any of our youngsters, need i remind anyone of that kick to Tarkyn Lockyer in the goal square.
We need that in the midfield.

Most of those Hawks you just named haven't even proven themselves at AFL level yet.

We've had a potent forward line by AFL standards for years at Collingwood. And it is only becoming MORE difficult to shut down, especially when we're all fit and firing.

Currently;

Buckley - Rocca - Medhurst

Didak - Cloke - Davis


Future;

?Dawes? - Rusling - Reid

Didak - Cloke - Dick


There are 3-4 match winners alone in both those forward lines, so I think it'd be a whole lot more difficult for any backline to shut them down then a Hawthorn one.

i must admit hawthorn do have a nice crop of kids coming through and while they look good on paper they are fairly 1 dimension. let me expand on that.

if u look at there foward like with boyle, buddy and the redhead. besides buddy they are very 1 dimensional. if u have a good backmen boyle and redhead can be held with ease. so that leaves only buddy who is an x factor of sorts.

if u look at the pies forward like we have dawes which has drawn comparrison to j brown. hes our 1 dimensional forward[ marks and kicks] then we have cloke who is footy smart, runs all day and does the 1% things. he may kick like a drunken irishmen [ no offence] but he creates those chances himself. then there is reid and rusling, very fast almost midfielder fast. but they arent 1 dimensional as the red head and boyle. they have supreme agility, and great pairs of hands not only in the air but on the deck.

we also have our smalls, would u argue that daisy thomas isnt a game breaker, for a guy who has played less then 50 games, he has the ability to turn games and hes done it before. brad dick will become a star as well.

but thats not to say the hawks aren't gonna have a ripper of a team. the like of thorp [who will be a very very good player], mcglynn, dowler,muston, morton. the only issue i have is that they havent had the impact the pies kids have had.

How about this for size....Rus for Brent Reilly from the crows?
Both good quality,both back to their home state.
BUT you probably couldnt convince Rus to go back to TWOHEADSVILLE

i take your point but the 1's in your future forward line haven't either i'd be of the opinion that roughy & buddy look better then cloke hawthorn dont have a classt middle sized forward like didak but i'd say bar that there forward line is clearly better
