For Beams, I'd like a pick. For the West Australia bound players, including Wellingham or Davis, a swap with a player who fills a need or a high/highish draft pick. Goldsack is another who could be traded, preferably for a player because low draft picks in a shallow draft are not going to deliver us quality players. Having said that, McCarthy is the only player that I would like to see moved on. Goldsack and Toovey will need to further improve their disposal or somehow leap overnight to another level as players.

What is this crap about Beams, and where did it spawn from? Because he was injured before the Grand Final? Because of fabricated rumours by the shiteating media?
Beams is a gun, and to lose him would be devastating unless we got an equally brilliant player or a top 10 pick.

Don't know why everyone is so keen to get rid of Buckley. I think he's a player who is still improving and has a few attributes which can't be taught. If anything he's good cover and I doubt he'd be on a lot of coin so I don't see any advantage in getting rid of him.

I can't wait for Beams to have the tank to spend more time in the middle. He will be a very important player for us as he will be able to go forward and kick goals.

Ignore all Beams talk, he isn't going anywhere, the other 3, maybe, but not Beams, he is staying, and will be at Collingwood next year, no matter what.
I'd put money on Toovey staying too, doesn't come across as a money hungry type, and he knows if he stays loyal he will be rewarded long term by the club.
I'd love the Caff to stay, but the rumours going around aren't that positive about it, so we may lose him.
If we can get a ham sandwich for J-Mac, take it, he should be delisted anyway, as we need his spot on the list.

If Toovey wants too much cash I don't think we can afford to keep him. We have more depth in mid size defenders than anywhere else on the ground. I like Caff and hope he stays, I think he'll be traded though. Think Goldsack will stay unless he wants out and the same goes for Beams - I think they'll both still be with us at the end of the week though.
Therefore by my prediction of losing Tooves and Caff I'd like O'meara somehow. Not sure what's on offer to GWS for O'meara but I get the feeling they'd almost take those two over pick 4 from GC. Both are relatively strong bodies, which they'll need. Also I doubt they'll want to help GC too much considering they'll be looking to open their premiership windows around the same time. He's 25 next year and with 6 to 8 players under done he still couldn't make the emergencies for the GF.. list clogger

Would you have brought Buckley in for Reid..? That seems slightly cruel, he would have been bent over a barrel by just about anyone on the Geelong side. Probably even Pods with a dislocated shoulder. Even if Reid had one leg, I'd take Ol' Peg Leg over Buckley.
Not to say that Bucks doesn't have a future as a depth player, but to bring him in for the GF would have been farcical at best.
