Lloyd chimed in with his advice on Classified last night on how we should go about keeping Aish happy. Suggested that we should just play him in the seniors regardless of output and let him get form that way. Then tried to compare that approach to Ollie Wines' situation at Port. What a deadset flog. Wines played every game in his first year, as Aish nearly did, but Wines extended his contract before the start of his second year. Amazing what 12 wins and playing finals will do for a 1st year player's outlook.

Great comparison Lloydy! Yet another sparkling insight from one of footy's great minds. :drunk:
The weird thing I have noticed about Lloyd is even though he is no longer an active player and is now a 'sports journalist', he still throws a little tuft of grass in the air and watches which way the wind blows it before stating his opinion. Time to give that up.

If I knew what movie that was from I would most likely have a higher chance of getting the joke...
It's from Arrested Development. Go buy it now.
It's not a movie.
Arrested Development, tv show.
Blue Man Group, great movie.
Queen - Greatest Hits.
Guys, guys, it's not a movie.

Viceregal right now...

Some very interesting information has come to light on the Aish situation........

Bloke over on the trade board reckons Aish's family name is football royalty in SA and most likely he will be keen to play there!

A very interesting development indeed. Could be a game changer.
How do they manage to keep all this vital information secret!!!!!

I understand that referencing anyone in the football media, the public eye or of any public stature is highly illegal and an offense punishable by death - especially Caro (who I actually don't mind, I think she has great sources and is usually pretty spot on, ducks under table and waits for beating) ... However...

She said that there was a rift between player and coach and a growing rift between club and family In relation to Aish. Wouldn't you just love to be a fly on the wall in some of these meetings?.

If that was in anyway true, again - she has the best 'saurces' in the industry so.. I wonder what would be key to these rifts would be.. If it was the contract offer, not playing him, development, pressure to sign, coaching technique..?

Hope your academy keeps producing good draftees, you guys have had a bad run with this go home crap. Time to load up on locals.

Think you'll get a fair trade back to an Adelaide team if Aish chooses to go that way. Both Crows and Port have been fair traders in the past, unlike some of the Melbourne clubs, particularly striped ones with fatso self serving presidents!

The most recent obvious example would suggest otherwise. Port gave up pick 14 for Polec, but not to us, to GWS, so they could keep a first round pick. We got shafted by comparison. Converted draft picks Nos. 29 and 45 to 22 and 34 and gained 48. Port then immediately proclaimed they had secured a very talented midfielder, which we already knew and subsequent events confirmed.

Collingwood actually have been one of the fairer teams to trade with from a Lions perspective. Port however screwed us over with Polec.
Yep. Collingwood dealt fairlyw ith us on Karnezis and gave us something to take out of that trade when they could have just let us hang. The club played hard on Beams but dealt fairly and openly, and if Crisp is doing well for them, good luck to him andt he 'pies. Some of the fans may still be feral but the club is one we have been able to deal with.
