There are other teams?
And there you have it. The brazen solipsistic entitlement of Collingwood supporters. They honestly think that the role of other clubs is simply to serve Collingwood and their interests. Some were genuinely offended that the lowly Brions didn't give Collingwood the keys to our entire kingdom in trade week.

And they think everyone hates them out of "jealously". Nope, that club is just the cashed up bogan of the AFL and its supporters just boorish tossers inculcated into a cult of feral stupidity.

Best summary of that sense of entitlement I have ever read. You used some words that might be too big for them, but other than that - perfect. And they have a club president who is the embodiment of that attitude in all he does and all he says.

If that happens it'll be just desserts 12 months later for the way you went about getting Beams.

So you'll send Aish to the PSD to punish him and get nothing for him?

The Ross Lyon school of petulant trade negotiation.

Way to dig yourselves out of the bottomless pit you are in
Love it when the happy folk from Collingwood drop in here.... So much anger....

I am sorry for my outburst at the Pies fan. I am very very Hans Blix about everything at the moment. This Aish stuff is making my blood boil actually. It seems like the club has done everything in its power to right by the kid but in the end nothing was ever going to be good enough because he never wanted to give us a chance. I am tired of being irrelevant and a laughing stock of a club. The club deserves better, the fans deserve better and our loyal players deserve better.

No doubt the pies fans will be keen to "rape and pillage" after we have burnt our bridges
Dont know if I would call a first and secound round pick not to mention crisp who was playing good football for us in the last 6 weeks and good football for them this season burning bridges. Think it was a pretty good deal for them and agood pick up for us

You do realise players have to agree to be traded? If we refused (which we can only speculate on) it would have been because aish either wasn't asked or didn't agree to go.
My guess is that he wasn't asked because you wouldn't do the deal.
Fair enough, that's the clubs choice and they wanted to keep him.
I'm sure you hoped that 12 months later and he would have settled, and been happy. Unfortunately that is not the case and it seems he is leaving for likely less than what he cost you.

Are you trying to subtly get a rise or what?

Crisp wasn't asked, he came forward. In the Fev trade, Henderson wasn't asked, he came forward. To use another club's example, Boyd wasn't asked, he came forward. If Aish had this now-discovered burning desire to get to Melbourne, he could have come forward last year and said he'd like to join Collingwood.

I find it interesting that the Crows arent really talked about as an option for Aish. Surely they will be right up their for contenders to get Aish?
Nah he doesn't want the fishbowl environment so he will go to Carlton or Collingwood instead
