I hope we are getting contingencies in place and moving on. Himmelberg boys, Parish etc are good value.

Close to home, Steven May would be awesome addition to our backline. Would add more fire to future QLD clashes - about time GC sent one our way.

EDIT : If Schache chooses to stay, that'll be the best outcome out of everything. But as a club, we should just plan around it rather than clinging to this hope of him staying. With Aish, it felt like we were going to the nth degree to please him and he changed his mind in the last 24 hours. Not keen on being treated in a similar way by every new draftee that walks through our door.

Mods - is there a line graph you can attribute to the voting results from the start?

From memory it was close to 90% staying for quite a while until these stories came out o_O

Driving this morning with SEN on. Pickers, Hutchy & Dr Turf show on.

Discussion turned to misreporting in the media & Pickering briefly mentioned the current reporting on Schache.
He was challenging the notion that there was a $600k offer on the table from Voctorian clubs, 'is there really'.......
Concluded with I think he will stay in Brisbane anyway.

Some will roll out the old SEN line, whatever is on that station is blah, blah, blah.
On face value I am more included to take the word of Liam Pickering even if it is just a vibe thing, than our mate JZ, than the other clubs nuffies that have flooded our board, let alone our own that believe we will be fine without him (really, how?), or those that have traded him out the door & are excitedly throwing up names we should be looking at.

Continue on your merry way. ;)

I think it's important to distinguish between actual people on SEN, who you can credit or not based off the person in question, versus "callers" which are roughly on par with BF posters, Twitter and FB rumourmongers, and people who comment on online news articles.

Logical people such as yourself have that ability. Others are less fortunate.

I think it's all about not getting attached to the players and starting a one person cult for them before they're even drafted.
It's not that though.

We can't keep hemorrhaging our talented young players, especially pick 2s who are capable of playing vital roles for us. You can't build a sense of unity that way, which history suggests is very important for building a flag winning team.

Sure, but until it happens, there's zero value getting angsty about it. No one in any position to know - Josh, his manager, maybe family - has said anything noteworthy.

The stuff in the papers had been framed beautifully to sell papers to Richmond supporters.

Tigers have Martin to re-sign for big bucks, and Cotch, Rance and Riewoldt on more coin than almost anyone at Brisbane bar Beams.

We'll make him a very good offer and deal with anything else if and when we come to it.

Can we get J Brown to have a chat to him, he got offered a truckload from Victorian clubs and didn't go, Schache could be the same messiah if he wanted to be!
