just read about this bloke. Sounds alright, and unlike most of the youngsters who've featured in this footygoss article wants to play for us in the future!

Someone to replace JLo in 6 years time? A true Bayview Tce boy... He can go shopping and get his hair cut with Medders. JLo and the Carr boys can hang out the front in the ute (crewman 4 door!) waiting for them.
Nice Freudian slip there too.
perhaps it should be the English who are worried by Mackenzie before Worsefold and the rest of the AFL.

He goes to my old school and is in my brothers year. he is a super talented boy....really really intelligent and quiet. Not a loud mouth, just gets the job done and done well.

Incidently, its the same school as Lukey McPharlin went to. Thats where the comparisions are coming from.

I think we need another ruckman, and if he can grow another 3-4cm he would fit the bill.

Some quality spelling in that article with Pavalich and Worsefold.

Should take two ruckman - one in the draft and one rookie.
Should have taken one kid this season.

Yep, two ruckmen on your list is just not enough. If one goes down you're buggered.
Johnson
Warren

At a pinch, any/all of these guys could do the job. If there was someone suitable in the draft, then I'm sure they would have got them.
I heard on the radio they said that Nick Holland would only be considered as a backup ruckman for the Hawks for the remainder of the year! I'd prefer Johnson or Warren to Holland!

But this year, we need to get one that is at least ready to play in 2007, not a 3-5 year project.

We'd get found out in the big games if we relied on one of the above as our second ruckmen. We need a 3rd dedicated ruckmen to be able to step in if one of our first 2 go down with injury. I agree that we need a ready made ruckmen for our third choice - it would be nice to have Ricky Mott back.
