Sad day lads, my favourite player of all time. Met my partner late 2018 she soon found out I was footy obsessed, told her my favourite player was Fyfey she said isn’t he always injured? I replied if he has a full year he’ll win another Brownlow he’s that good! 2019 rolls along and the great man done it. If we don’t raise the cup this year I hope you blokes do it for him, absolute champion player

For someone who has two brownlows his career will still always be a massive "what if."

So many injuries robbed us of what should've been his peak years.

Sad day but we all knew it was coming, but it doesn't make it easier.

Hopefully we can send him off in the way he deserves as an icon of the club.

My thoughts also turned to what he may do next year.

He would make a great assistant coach but he is just as likely to take a break and drive his trucks and fly his helicopter or sit on a mountain in Tibet pondering life!

PS He should have gone out with three Brownlows if not for an accidental head clash and BS tribunal.

Sad but the right call, he gave everything to this club, sacrificed his body to carry us through some crap times & always remained loyal to his Freo family.

Please allow his body to hold up to have one last crack at it.
