Strangely enough he played WAFL just a couple of weeks ago.

Maybe instead of believing some of the utter crap that masquerades as "news" you could look at the seldless history of the guy and give him the benefit of the doubt.

Well shit. It’s really hit me this morning, and the tears are spilling over.
Twice over the last couple of weeks I’ve posted what an absolute privilege it has been to be a supporter of this club during the Fyfe years. And it’s true.
I wish we could go back to 2010 and really take in every moment of this incredible man’s career. I think we all got a bit complacent at times ‘oh it’s just Fyfe doing Fyfe things’, without really absorbing the enormity of his talent and his loyalty and dedication to the Freo Footy Club.
Instead of a ‘wow, how did he do that?’ I (personally) would love to be able to put each amazing effort in the memory bank to really see everything he did in detail.
Best player to ever wear a Freo jumper and how lucky we have been.

Or Goal of the year, for that matter?! That goal against Port in 2019, where he was under pressure on the boundary deep in the pocket, handballed it to the ground to keep it in play while he shook off the tackle, picked it up and snapped, which was smothered, and then gathered the loose ball and sealed the goal remains my standout memory of his brilliance … and it didn’t even earn him GOTY finalist.

Jealous of everyone that’s going to be there Friday.

On behalf of all of us that live elsewhere, give the man one hell of a reception - some of my favourite moments supporting Freo are directly from this man.

Had him and Pav as posters on my wall at home. Blokes a champion, and it’s easy to forget he debuted in my last year of primary school, and I’ve now graduated high school and uni and moved overseas all during his career.

What a star. Thanks for everything Nat, one last chapter to write.

There is no-one I can think of who was equally as good at the contested stuff at ground level and also at the contested stuff in the air. One of the greatest ever to have played the game.

A few have alluded to this already, but despite all of Fyfe's achievements I still have a 'what if' feeling given he has been so sadly cruelled by injuries. Almost like a lost opportunity. It's not fair. I know the old "it's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all" etc etc, so I guess I should simply feel privileged to have seen him play and leave it at that. Maybe I'm greedy, because I still have a sense that he could have been a 3 maybe even 4 times Brownlow winner. A 300+ gamer. We have 1 chance left now to make him a premiership player. Yes. Lets f***ing do it.
