Everyone keeps saying that 2 weeks off is the best case scenario for the alleged injury that Fyfe has. But come Saturday's game, he will have had 3 weeks off. Surely that puts him in a pretty good place? He will also have had expert attention around the clock.

I know a bit about this issue, the bottom line is the variance is very large. You can take 2-3 weeks off, feel a million bucks, hence I'd be amazed if he's not named, it's just a matter of how long he lasts. It could be a half of intensive footy or it could be good for many weeks. We simply won't know until it happens really.

Sydney are still beatable without Fyfe in the squad. It's amazing how our other midfielders seem to lift when Fyfe's out of the side. That would give him a full 5 weeks of recovery to be in perfect shape for the second Prelim.

Of course it'd be even better if the guy was in our team on Sat as well.

Good news is he plays we win and he has another 13-14 days rest and recovery before the prelim. It needs to be better by then so he is good for the gf.

you would think so... the injury he has, is the kind where you can jab it.

if he doesn't play this week and we win then he wouldn't have played for 5 weeks by the prelim.. not great prep.

Whatever you are paying this bloke, double it. He went from a wounded animal to road warrior in the space of fifteen minutes.

I was so angry at him because HE injured himself, but I felt like shit after seeing how he played out the rest of the night after...

Thanks for a fantastic year Fyfe.

havent seen enough of his performance this year, but just wow. Even wounded, he is an absolute beast; just an animal! Courageous and the heart of a champion. Like Hodge; when he's on the park you can see the whole team lift around him.

If this was NFL he'd be the definition of the ''franchise player". One team had to lose tonight, but hopefully you will have a deserving winner come Brownlow night.

Good luck for next season,
PS - when is your coach RTB going to realise you can't win a flag without some offensive weapons. Seems to be a similar story each time u guys play us...
