like miss andretti. is the class horse and the more seasoned horse.

i think VDF will be hard to beat along with california dane who never runs a bad race at the valley.

run the race at flemington and MA would be odds on.
could be a good exacta bank MA in VDF and CD!:thumbsu:

Think it will go
1. Miss Andretti
2. Magnus
3. Rewaaya

That said I don't know how Strada will measure up.
California Dane took 2-3 runs to get wound up in Spring and was pretty useless before Cox Plate day.
VDF should be in it for a long way.

Strada's definitely the interesting runner, has a race fitness edge on most of these. They chose to miss the Spring & aim at the GS Challenge so he'll be reasonably wound up & apparently had a look at MV Tuesday.

Has had a boom on him since day 1,we'll see how he goes at this level.

I have followed Strada for some time, even included him in the Spring Stables Comp, but I was disappointed with his 1st up run. While he did win & I may be a little critical I thought he would have beaten that field comfortably, but in the end he sort of fell in. May have improved for the run, but will need to.

I think I will go with Magnus. He just came on leaps & bounds over the Spring & was just so consistent. I think their is a big race in him for the Autumn.
The mares the toughest to beat, especially VDF.

Should be a good race, but I won't be betting. For what it's worth, I like Dance The Waves at odds.
My best for the day are Morphettville race 6 Gunner Tom. He just loves the 1200m and has a good weight. Last attempt at the 1200 he won the Wangoom, and likes this track too. He's nearly a certainty. (sorry if I sound like DJ). My second is in the last, Sweet Julia. There should be enough pace on to see her coming home as she has been lately.

Im going to give PERMAISCUOUS anotyher chance also, at excess of $9 i see great value, for a horse that ran MF to a short half head...

Very disapointed in VDF today. Miss Andretti gave them wind burn as she went past them.

I did see a nice one go around in Sydney though. Hoystar. Gee he is a nice type. black as the ace of spades and a big big horse. When he flattened out he looked similar to the big L. But he is much bigger. Anyway, one to certainly watch.

I was there caulf guineas day too, Hmmm must have had too many to drink to notice. hehehe

Though he does look a million dollars. Very ungainly and was running in a bit, but I think the more racing the better he will get. Will be interested to see if he goes on with it.

Hawkesy had a good day at Rosehill today. I know one of his Melbourne Formen very well, so often getting some mail.

They had a nice up and comer last year that went amiss. Wonder if it will be back with the promise it had on it. Cocoruru i think that is how you spell it.

The way Hoystar won that race was very impressive.
Seemed to be nothing more than a gallop down the straight, and still pulled away to win easily.

Could be a very impressive horse in the future.

Not a bad day today. Loaded up on the Gunner, so was guaranteed to be ahead regardless of the rest.
Who needs DJ?????? ;)

He does have plenty of ability but is still racing very greenly. And that was a poor field, too. But I'd expect him to be able to win a listed race or Group 3 or something along those lines.

Yeah, it was a $30,000 Class 3 race.

What was that race doing in the middle of a Saturday metropolitan program in Sydney?

The STC's policy is to make any meeting with a Group race on it a 9 race meeting. This was simply a filler, a type of race they usually put on Randwick midweek meetings.

I'd have thought another 2YO race would have been a nice replacement.

I thought that Hoystar was by Lohnro, but he isn't. He must be some sort of relation then, because they were spruiking it up on TVN as like Lohnro. Hmmm...

Danzero I think he is by and half brother to Sportsman. Nothing to do with Lohnro. lol

Exactly, it was a midweek race. They had every other race yesteday for a minimum of $65,000+, so having a $30,000 midweek race as the first leg of the quaddie - c'mon! They're just lucky a decent horse won the race yesterday, most of the time a race like that would attract donkeys from every part of NSW.

Beadman felt the horse was lame in the hind quarters when he gave it a push around the bend, and pulled it from there....
