If it's not one thing it's another. Just something else to hinder our season. It shouldn't affect our on field performance but it probably will.

Hinted???? LMAO.... he didnt say yes or no. He said he didnt want to answer because he couldnt win either the way.

Did anyone really expect Benny to decline an interview for the most senior position in the AFL? It would have been remiss of him to turn down an interview given he is one of, if not the most leading candidate in the race. How many of us would decline an interveiw to a job we have always wanted? I have no qualms with Benny having an interview. He is just taking proper precautions and scouting out the landscape.

If he does get the job, it isn't the end of the world. Would I like him to stay? Yes, he has been fantastic for the club, but we are no longer crippled by debt and inadequacy as we were when Benny came along. We should be able to find a competent replacement for him.

It's also not like we can't replace him with a new CEO. Sure, there are incompetent CEO's but there are some good ones out there too. :p

So what if he leaves, that is business... whats to say the next CEO wont do an even better job that Sir Benny has. The glass half full approach to this is Benny will help the board ensure the the replacement (should he leave) will be the best candidate we can get our hands on.

He's done the hard yards, so even if the next CEO isn't as good, he's got an easier job to do, so hopefully it wont matter too much.

Mostly though, I think he's being interviewed so the AFL can say they looked at all the options before appointing their favorite son.
