On topic, just watching a bit of the replay on Fox. Last quarter centre bounce at the start Sandi directs ball directly down to nothing, no one, our mids stand flat footed, Priddies dives on ball, handball to Shuey, Eagles spread, 2 re handballs Lynch drills goal from 50. What are we even thinking about at stoppages?

My question more relates to how do we play like we did vs cats and saints and then turn up performances like the last two weeks? I recall watching a NBA game and Reggie miller said to play good defense you have to be emotional. Sometimes I feel with freo we play not to lose rather than to win. Big difference

We had Fyfe killing it when we played the Cats.

Would he have made a difference today? Perhaps only to reduce the final margin, but overall I reckon his absence lowers the confidence of the foot soldiers, sorry, other midfielders.

They'll look at Kerr's knock on Crowley too. Not much in it, but iirc Kerr's got some carry-over points that could tip the scales against him.

I just listened to Ross s presser and agree with ghost pig that it's obvious he is experimenting with line ups and will let players go which will take some time I suppose. Also agree with fact our midfield is crap which is very diff approach to how Harvey would have handled the criticism.

Don't think so. Schofield got 2 weeks for a hit behind play on Reiwoldt against the Tiger.

I don't think you'll find many Freo fans outraged at Shuey hitting Duffield in the guts. Surprised he didn't have his fist covered marshmallow afterwards.

I remember that play well, I saw it worse than that. It was a tap to our advantage, our players (three of them) went in hard an low but Pridis just beat them to the ball. It looked like it was going to be another ball up, but Pridis just kept working and our guys were just confused and stopped 'mongreling' for the ball and Pridis wormed his arms free and passed off to the free Eagle players - free because all three of our guys were on the ground and couldn't manage to hold up the one player in the contested ball area. Typical of the 2nd half actually, too little effort exerted in the wrong way with little efficiency.

No chance, Kerr's wont even get a look in - boy winging mid-weak paid off though. Not only did he get his free kicks, I think it rocked Creepy's confidence too.

As Quinz mentioned, Schofield got 2. Waters took a reprimand for a perfectly legal hit against a Melbourne player. They're our only reports so far - Shuey would have a neutral record, doubt Kerr has any carryover points (assuming they drop off after a year).
