Good first quarter by the boys. Had appoximately 8 or 9 more scoring shots and should have been more in front. Our pressure and intensity looked on, and our runners in Cooney, Griffen seemed to be on control, and apart from Black, the opposition seemed to be underpar.

But the second quarter has been a fight back of some sorts from the Lions and they have narrowed our margin. We don't see as dangerous in the forward 50 as in the first quarter where we took something like 10 marks inside 50.

Hopefully we can come out of the blocks in the third quarter and really seem to up the ante. The opposition seem to be ripe for the taking, so if we play with a high rate of intensity, we should be able to extract out a decent win.

Also: Full marks to Morris. Given Fev an absolute bath.

listening to the comentary... sounds like we are going to Hall alot and he is dropping a lot of marks. Would love to see us go to some other forward options.

Thanks to ESPN3 I was able to watch the match online live. Great recovery in the third quarter after an ordinary second and fine fight to the end. Bazza did well. Very impressive run by Cooney and Griffen. Top job on Fev by Morris. Good dash by young Wood on occasions. Very happy with the win.

I wore my Bulldogs t shirt to the Chicago Blackhawks victory parade on Friday for winning the National Hockey League's Stanley Cup championship, hoping it would bring the Doggies good luck this weekend. Hmmm... However, I wore my Bulldogs member's cap to the Cubs game today for good luck. They lost.

Good game by the boys, Morris destroyed Fev. The Williams Hamstring is the only concern.

Wood played well though coughed up a few dodgy handballs in the back half.

Wood looks good. His run off half back created a few goals. Gia epitomises the Down Hill skier. Hanh is way to slow. Hudson and Cooney were the best on ground. Murphy played well but pulled up sore and was limping at times. Hall has kicked over 40 goals for the season. Grant played well. Stack looks like he should take up netball. Hill does not like a contest. Eagleton played OK but is only doing enough to keep his spot.

Overall I thought we played better and the team actually took the game on. Except in the second when we went concervative for a while and then Brisbane started to control the game.

we won by 10 goals and still people can't say many good things either way with our without Brown its a good win we are sitting 5th and With Freo Vsing St Kilda we will be 1 win away from top 4 and I thought that Griffen was good? or i thought Hill was okay ?

Big Will played well for his 100th and Gia had a very good game, as did "Brad" Boyd (Commetti today, I think he and Healy do it on purpose ). Disappointed in those 2 misses each by Gilbee and Grant, but Murphy playing off half back was wonderful. Quit the limping already, Murph.
I thought Eagleton and Hahn did enough today. Moles and Wood were ok, but should be replaced by Johnno and Ward, if available.
