Great win by the boys- still watching the delayed telecast here and the beer is flowing.

Moles and Wood were ok, but should be replaced by Johnno and Ward, if available.

I am interested why Moles and Wood should make way for Johno and Ward. They havent been the culprits that have caused our ordinary form this year because they havent been in the team.

How about picking a couple of blokes who havent been part of the losses to make way. It is no use dropping the new blokes when they havent been the culprits.

Cone on .... get brave and pick the REAL CULPRITS.

Not convinced on what I saw yesterday johno should come straight in.

Ward and Reid before him for me.

Stack is softish but thought he was showing confidence today.

After this weekend with the other teams indigenous boys success shows how much value they can add.

Moles didn't really show much today and I think he is too one sided, but I thought Wood for his first game in for a while showed that he could provide some much needed pace and willingness to take the game on.

If Johnson comes in for round 13 then I'd probably drop Moles. Not sure who else will be available.

Out of interest, who would you pick to make way for Johnno?

Moles and Wood make way because they are not as good as Johnson and Ward, and we need to get games into J & W asap. Wood has played two games and it looks like it. He shows promise in flashes but at this stage of the year we urgently need experience and leadership on the field. Stack is a slightly better fit at this stage, but Reid is a possibility to take his place (liked him last year but haven't seen his form this year). Who are the other "culprits" who should be dropped? I'm anticipating Hahn, Eagleton and Hill to be named but sorry, I don't agree :).

Stack took short steps for the third week in a row. This is not acceptable. Other clubs wouldn't put up with it - when it's your turn to go, you go. Needs to go back to Willi until this is understood IMO.

First point: Stack should not be picked based on being indigenous and the good form this week of players who happen to share his heritage.

Second point: Would you really say that Stack plays like the stereotypical indigenous footballer.

Agree about Johnno though.

One thing maybe to consider is that Subi is a larger ground than what we are used to playing on, so it maybe a risk to take two underdone players. If we have two players who are not match fit, then we need to give them minimal game time, which has the potential to reduce our rotations and therefore to finish the game with run in our legs.

The bad thing is that with todays bad loss to the Weagles against Richmond, they will be under the pump all this week from the Perth media and will come out firing. We lost against them twice last year, so we cannot afford to drop a game to them again.

They beat us twice last season, so I'd be expecting a tough game, lots of running. Wouldn't take anyone who is suspect or recovering. Good time to have a break, do Willi play during the week off?

Some Guys here need to drop a chill pill. We won by a pretty convincing 65 points. Gia was very good, hard at it and keen to get involved in the game early. 3 goals was a good return for his efforts. Hahn's delivery to Hall was responsible for at least 3 goals...big tick for Hahn. Stack is still learning the game and did some very good things. He seemed to have a much better feel for the game today and wasn't really caught unaware. Hill was a bit in and out but took a couple of good grabs and gave us another forward option. Eagles was back on song, pressuring his opponents very well. I think overall a great performance. Not totally on the ball yet but we're building toward something pretty special. Go Dogs.:)

Big Will played well for his 100th and Gia had a very good game, as did "Brad" Boyd (Commetti today, I think he and Healy do it on purpose ). Disappointed in those 2 misses each by Gilbee and Grant, but Murphy playing off half back was wonderful. Quit the limping already, Murph.
I thought Eagleton and Hahn did enough today. Moles and Wood were ok, but should be replaced by Johnno and Ward, if available.

Damn it I forgot about that. Saw Dennis at the airport tonight and had a brief chat, would have mentioned it's not Brad if I remembered.

I'm with you Beaser. Wood and Moles were very serviceable. Wood in particular provided, in tandem with Murph, great run off the HB line. It is vital that we get some games into these guys so we don't always fall back on the old favourites. Look at the chances young players are getting in other teams. The fact is Rocket does not give our young players enough opportunities and is too reliant on names that let us down.

I think Bruce thinks his name is Gian Siracusa. He didn't do it today but has called him just Siracusa a time or two, as if he was just pronouncing his surname. Boyd to Cross to Siracusa.

You missed my point ........ we didnt lose to Brisbane, Essendon, St Kilda and Collingwood twice because of Wood or Moles.

For some reason the only players to have been dropped following these losses have been Will, Eags and DFA. And yet,a couple posters have suggested that Moles and Wood should make way for Ward and Jonno.

I am saying we should be having players who were the culprits in those losses that should make way .... not the new guys.

We all know who didnt perform in those games and their reputations have kept them in the team.

only one change

out - williams
in - everitt or hargrave

give johnno another game for Willy to make sure he is 100 percent

I think this is wise.

On the other hand, if Ward's doing OK form and fitness-wise, i'd love to get him in. He needs some game time this year.

And my out would be Stack (assuming the match-ups work OK. They do play different positions.)

I understand your frustration, and I can probably assume that for the most part it is directed at guys like Hahn, Gia, Hargrave, Aker and Eagleton......but these guys have built a reputation on being around when we're playing at our highest level. Sure they've had games in row when they've struggled over the years, but they all come good after an average patch.

We've had inconsistency with senior player injuries this year, and as a by product we've been able to get games into players that wouldn't normally figure in our best 22. As promising as some of the efforts put in by these guys have been, the lack of confidence for them to take the ball and move with it has been evident when our remaining senior players have had the ball in their hands - for right or wrong. If you have that type of situation and you further reduce the amount of experienced players in the team then you make things much worse. The guys playing on reputation have stayed in the side for the better, even after a couple of dodgy performances.

Johnno comes in this week if ready to go, and Moles would be the one I'd choose to go out. Johnno helps us address a major problem this year that has been exacerbated by the early season form of Aker and Murphy, which is a half forward that can run at the football and take a mark. Moles can't do this as well as Johnson can, and he doesn't have another spot on the ground where he is a better option than the guy that normally plays there.

Is Ward fit and due to come back yet? How has he gone at Willi over the last couple of weeks? If fit and showing improvement over the last two weeks, he gets a spot.
