Really? He’s far from the worrying thing I saw tonight got in and under and tried his guts out despite being undersized

Give me a spell it’s just posters taking potshot at a promising kid that was never hailed as the next Selwood …posters are allowed to be excited over the promising kids they weren’t the issues tonight

It's usually the same posters/supporters sooking about the form of vets and wanting to play more kids, who also then sook about the form of said kids.
Can't have it both ways, either we play these young sub 10/20 game lads and deal with some horrible football, or we continue to back in "been there and done that" veterans who are on their last legs, or beyond them.
It's either/or.
Want kids? Deal with the teething problems until they play 50/60 games.

Mullin needs to go back to the VFL or go back to Mayo. Pick one.

Hawkins, I'm sorry but it's just sad at this point.

If Jhye Clark plays 250 games like his draft profile said, I will run nude up Moorabool Street. Charlie Constable showed more at this stage and actually had a frame to put some muscle on.

SDK is a HUGE worry despite what delusional people such as Benny Cass say.

Duncan is as slow as a wet week.

I agree with all the rest.

But clark will play 250 games. Firstly because his leadership and his off field stuff is first class.

But more importantly because he has class-he made some blues tonight but his will to win we need in about 15 other blokes and you can see the improvement week on week. He doesnt have the physical strength or endurance yet but in 3-4 years he will be an absolute A grader.

Apart from being comprehensively annihilated by a far better side

I think Geel over possess the ball , when the Cats got thumped in the 2010 PF Cam Mooney said in the review that was their no 1 problem back then and they addressed that in 2011 , and i reckon they need to right now

Kolo does the little short pass straight to a Carlton bloke , goal . Start of last qtr Holmes does a ridiclous short pass , Geel lose the ball , then gives away a 50 metre penalty , another Carlton goal

Miers when he does quite a few passes , with that running out to the right and kicking accross his body , the ball can go anywhere

Dempsey played well , but again his short pass in the 3rd qtr , went about 6 metres - play on , Geel lose the ball again

Carlton were seriously impressive with their skill level and std of play and could have won by 15 goals , only reservation is the opposition was pathetic

Really? I just looked up Jhye Clark draft profile and found the following:

"Geelong would also be recruiting a prospect seen as a clone of retired Cats champion Joel Selwood, with Clark levelling the four-time premiership great's own development as a leading name at the draft for his leadership qualities and impact on the game."

But no, he's never been hailed as the next Selwood. Just a clone of.

If all his teammates had his tenacity we'd be better off.

1 win in 8.
Time to make changes.

Hawkins, Mullin, MOC, Blicavs, Atkins out.
Neale, Conway, Clohesy, Humphries, Hardie in.

Tuohy and duncan are cooked.

And if we are making changes (apart from talls) mannagh should be first in.

Let’s put it in context. It was one of the worst performances we’ve had in many, many years but we simply don’t have the cattle.

Our midfield got absolutely slaughtered. They have Cripps, Sam Walsh, Tom DK. Tom DK is an absolute beast and has changed their premiership calculation. We didn’t play a ruckman - we don’t have one able to compete at this level.

Our midfield is worse than the bottom side, that says a lot.

But, the future looks good. After tonight I’m resigned to the fact that we will need to be patient. A bit of 2003 about this side. Bloody need a good trade period.

It’s time to give Humphrey a go.

That’s the ****ing media ofc they are hyping up a recruit to get more clicks…it’s a puff piece Ffs no one on this board would take that piece seriously nor should they

But hey feel free to take pot shots at a kid as if he’s the sole reason for the side loss tonight

Clark will make his critics look silly I think.

Yes, he was awful tonight but he got his hands on the ball which was beyond many of his more experienced teammates.

He learnt a very harsh lesson tonight but he will keep improving.

SDK I thought showed some good signs tonight and will turn a corner now.

They are two players I am not worried about. There are a lot of problems but they ain’t it.

Not if that’s the last we see of him
Champions don’t deserve to go out that way

It is true in the sense it will allow us to restructure the forward line for more movement, marking and pressure. He has been a gun and will be HOF but its time.
