Read the first 200 pages, got distracted, stopped and had to return it to the library. I was enjoying it so probably shouldn't have stopped. I don't think it will matter though, the series will probably be stand-alone amazing anyway.

Getting really pumped for this. All the reviews so far are full of praise for the show - a good sign that the quality will be strong.

Edit. Viserys has been on screen for 5 seconds and you can already see what a slimy git he is.

Plus, Joffrey has a very punchable face.

Loved it. Lived up to all expectations that I had.

On a slightly off topic note, Bran would have made a great assassin. His wall climbing scenes gave me Assassin's Creed flashbacks.

As someone who has read all the books I was pretty happy with that first episode. Catelyn seems to be a poor casting choice and a poor actress but I can live with that. The rest of the casting choices seem spot on though as some have mentioned. Shame we didn't get a close up of the Hounds face, kinda wanted to see how they did it.

Kinda scared of getting on Wikipedia and looking up some of these names in case I get spoiled. Will rely on the HBO page for it.

It was great. The acting was fine (especially Sean Bean) and the women were hot. I would totally do Cersei, but Catelyn looks so plain compared to the Catelyn I envisioned from the books.
