Going from the overarching title being A Song of Ice and Fire I think the end game will be a face off against the white walkers involving the dragons. Dany then becomes critical to that and given the hints during this series as to Jon's father being someone other than Ned plus him being brought back from the dead, Jon is also an integral part of what's to come.

Those two are the only characters that I see as indispensable prior to the very end which probably explains why so much time as being devoted to their respective story arcs even when those stories seemed to be plodding along at times

To take on the white walkers Jon and Dany will somehow have to bring the seven kingdoms of Westeros together and there'll be plenty of casualties along the way until that happens

Can also see Yara and Dany getting it on with the sand sisters from Dorne at some point next season as well:)
What about Tyrian?

Next episode looks interesting enough my guess is Cersil is going to make a terrible mistake and kill her son.

And looks like Jamie is finished at red wedding V2
Yea... Interesting that he's with the Freys, he clearly despises them... And the comments from the old prick, foreboding, or being a smartarse?

Same feeling re Cersei - she'll do something she can't control, again.

One thing I miss about this show Is the battle for the iron throne. Joffreys brother (can't remember his name) is far too wishy washy to be king. Surely when dany gets to westros (whenever that is) this will become a major plot again.

Don't think he'll be around by then

Odds are Cersil will do something stupid and he'll either die or kill himself in the next episode

Yeah he's important too and has had as much screen time as anyone but I haven't worked out how he fits in other than to recognise that his diplomacy skills may be key in bringing westeros together
He knows the Starks, and he knows Jon - he'll be the one to convince Dani that Jon is legit.
