Brans life sucks.

Paralysed by the incest twins
Probably shits and pisses himself every single day
Dick don't work
Escapes his traitorous childhood friend, only to result in the deaths of two innocent farm boys
Dad gets head chopped off
Mum and older bro get throats slit
Little sister getting beaten on the regular by a religious cult
Older sister married to a psycho and abused
Little bro handed over to same psycho, his babysitter gets her throat stabbed
Half brother stabbed by his own men
Stuck with some wizard having lsd dreams in a tree
Went back in time to ruin his friends life and doom him to a life of a simpleton
Cant go south of the wall without bringing the Nights King with him.
Stuck north of the wall with Meera being chased by zombies

And his dog died.

So...at a certain point Hodor would have known he was about to die, haunted by the vision he had seen/screams he had heard as a child.

How freaking horrible is that? Poor big fella. :hearts:
His whole life was defined by knowing exactly how and when he was going to die, and having to go through it twice.

Fantastic episode. I was looking forward to Jack Bender's directorial debut for GoT after his work on Lost and this didn't disappoint.

Arguments that the Bran/Hodor loop undermines what came before are ridiculous and pedantic. Maybe not the same level of pedantic that book readers have whenever one minor thing is different, but still...

1. The Mother of Dragons facial expressions
2. The bald coont saying the experts name....JassssonConssssepsssion...

Biggest issue with the Direwolves... can they actually have some use before they kill them off. They are friggin monstrous yet are less useful than Ramsay's Hounds.
Instead of the Wood Nymph kamikazing herself, the Direwolf should've ****** shit up, killed dozens of the wights and had to be taken down by a walker.

We always hear how awesome they are, but we never see it.

Fake Sansa was smoking though.

Speechless.

The moment you hear it, and then for the second time and put it all together ... it floored me, more than anything else the show's done which **** is that saying something.

Agree that there's a fine line in shifting through time with Bran, that if it's heavily reliant in the end game, or even in the past, that it won't exactly be fresh storytelling. I don't think it'd make the show any less enjoyable, but it's something you'd hope wouldn't be used as a crutch.

That wasn't the case here though. 6 years or 20 years (;)) of build-up. That's incredible.

Why does everyone care about the direwolves? Have I forgotten something about them? I couldn't care less about them, to be honest. Except that 90% of the posts on this board mentioned it, I wouldn't have remembered it at all what with Hodor dying! HODOR! How can anyone care about anything apart from HODOR!!!!

HHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDDDDDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
