Alright lads, place your bets

Jon
Tormund
Jorah
Gendry
Beric
Thoros
Sandor

7 go out, how many return?
Thoros will kick the bucket, and maybe Tormund and Beric.

Jon won't obviously, Hound is too important as everyone keeps telling him. Plus he seems virtually indestructible anyway. Jorah's arc will probably go the full extent of the series. Can't see them bringing Gendry back only to kill him.

**** yeah. Great ep. Drogon knows, Jon Snow will be riding one of those bad boys before series end. "I thought you might still be rowing" hahaha too good.

The Winterfell stuff shaping up nicely too, guessing Littlefinger is stiring the pot with the lords who think Sansa should be running the show instead of Jon. Looking increasingly likely Arya takes him out, should be glorious. Hope we get an Arya Gendry reunion at some stage too.

Massive that Rhaegar got an anullment. Guessing Bran will tell Jon the truth of his parentage at some stage and Sam will remember that detail to confirm he is the true heir. Dany's reaction should be priceless :D

Anyone got a screencap of the note Arya found?

Guessing it will be Gilly that says something, like hey those were the names on the scroll about the annulment thingy.

How does everyone think the Littlefinger-Arya thing will finish?

As smart as he is, I don't think he's accounted for the fact that Arya can disguise herself as basically anyone she wants.

Not sure who the poor mask-donor will be but I'm fairly certain she'll be wearing it when it happens.

Like I said, he realizes Arya is a bit of a badass, but probably doesn't realize she's a full blown assassin and has just destroyed all of House Frey.

it will be like the lion turning on the circus master.

what a weird episode.

completely changed where this season was heading. cersei is going to make it to the end of the series now. No more battles between the Lannisters/Euron and the dragons. What was the point of the first four episodes now?

The Littlefinger side story is boring. No one cares.

Jon is the King of the North and has thousands of men and he is going out there with 10 men. Its not like he can sneak up on them. They are all zombies. Hell it was only going to be 5 before they ran into the others in prison. Even if he wants to send a party why is he going? Is this the stupidest plot the show has ever done?

oh and Jamie and Bronn not only being able to swim to shore but being able to swim far enough away from the battle that they arent easily noticed is ridiculous.

oh and if arya was planning on sneaking around why wouldnt she do it as a different face? is that because it ruins whatever dull plot they have with Littlefinger.

This episode is the king of plot hole episodes. A real pity as the last two episodes were fantastic.

Davos continuing to insert himself as the best character this season.

Because to sneak around she needs to kill someone and take their face. Hard to do in winterfell where she actually likes almost everyone.

Littlefinger is important because he's the only thing that can ruin the Stark reunion, and he's now one of only 3 characters left who actually wants to rule. 4 if you count Euron.

I don't think it changes a great deal, it would be against Jon's character to assume the throne.

I think the remark from Cersei straight after makes it almost certain Jaime kills her. Probably the child too, just for extra dramatic effect. Also Cersei's love for her children vs Cersei's pride still isn't exactly definitive on what drives her more. She vocalises her children being the most important but there's enough evidence to suggest it isn't the case.
Arya stabbing Cersei in the womb would be poetic. But agree that it'll be Jaime

Its a show. I dont get why you insist the story of what happens needs to be any different.

Go write your own books or show.
And this is a forum to discuss said show. Pointing out inconsistencies or plot holes seems a fair discussion point.

Littlefinger you magnificent bastard

https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywoo...ansa-letter-arya-season-7-episode-5-eastwatch

The note was the one Sansa was forced to write by Cersei in season 1;

Robb, I write to you with a heavy heart. Our good king Robert is dead, killed from wounds he took in a boar hunt. Father has been charged with treason. He conspired with Robert’s brothers against my beloved Joffrey and tried to steal his throne. The Lannisters are treating me very well and provide me with every comfort. I beg you: come to King’s Landing, swear fealty to King Joffrey and prevent any strife between the great houses of Lannister and Stark.
But yeah, as others have said, not sure he completely grasps who he's messing with. Potential there if Arya offs him to impersonate him for a bit too, could be pivotal with his command of the knights of the vale.

I'm glad I now have a full film/tv medal dais for wielders of war hammers.

My rankings are as follows, and subject to change pending Gendry's performance in the upcoming scrap north of the wall:

1. Thorgrim from Conan The Barbarian
View attachment 403496

2. Ajax from Troy.
View attachment 403498

3. Gendry
Robert Baratheon being the most famous of them all.

You're missing someone as well.
