That final scene was ******* awesome, all these great characters brought together. The dialogue for that scene was fantastic. They might need to do a separate season just to document this expedition that these men are about to go on. Having Davos tag along would have been great for a bit of extra banter.

Alright lads, place your bets

Jon
Tormund
Jorah
Gendry

Beric
Thoros
Sandor

7 go out, how many return?
4. Jon and The Hound for sure. I think Jorah and Gendry might come back too, but I'm not as sure about them

I sure as shit hope that they don't all come back - because that would reek of bullshit plot armour imo

rather then sacrificing Jon and Friendzone and wasting months going up there why doesnt Dany just fly up there with a dragon and get one of the dragons to pick up a zombie and fly off. Saves months of time and would be the far far easiest way to get her proof.
Don't bring logic into this

Great episode
Seeya Tarlys
Dany watching drogon with Jon
Davos bossed it the whole episode, loved the fermented crab bit and Gendry still rowing
Enjoyed Gendry hammering skulls and his parlay with Jon about their Dads
Love all scenes between Varys and Tyrion
Littlefinger laying a trap for Arya to split her and Sansa was well done
Sam leaving the citadel with a heap of books and scrolls was interesting.Liked the maesters' meeting too
What a motley crew heading out after a good scene in the dungeons

Anyone who thinks that was a slow episode is a moron

They could do a prequel show leading up to Robert Baratheon winning the Iron Throne.
A prequel has already been confirmed by HBO, they are looking at 5 possible story lines within the universe.

Current writers aren't going to be involved.

Roberts Rebellion is one possibility, but I doubt it, everyone knows that storyline already for the most part, they could incorporate the Greyjoy rebllion within it I guess.

The war of the ninepenny kings would be good, has all of Tywin Lannister, the Mad King, the Blackfish, Jon Arryn as young men fighting together, as well as the end of the Blackfyre family and the Golden Company in westeros.

I'd like to see Dunk and Egg made into the show though, or potentially Aegon's conquest of Westeros.

Poetic justice that Sam is the last Tarly after Randall was such a campaigner to him
Dickon didnt have to die but chose to pity he didn't do it saying Sam had a son to continue the Tarly name even if it was by that wildling and Sam had taken the Black. Just to spoil the old mans day even more, though it is
Crasters kiddie.

Me too, I don't think she is preggers either. She is using that to keep Jamie close after he met with Tyrion
Yep I could believe that she's not pregnant. She knew she was losing to Dany and that Jaime was drifting. She's looking to change tact, not go into a full on war and to shore up those closest to her (Jaime).

Her threat at the end about not betraying her showed how little she loves him.

I feel like the Tarlys should have at least died in battle. More of a heroic death, although the father is a campaigner.

And anyone able to interpret what Cassie said to Sam. Rheager getting an annulment in Dorne so he could marry someone else. I'm assuming this is referring to Elia and Lyanna. Meaning that Jon is a true born Targeryn.

I predicted a lot of things for this episode...then a bunch of other things came out of left field and happened instead.

I'm not one to be pedantic about plot holes too much but Jamie and Bronn somehow ending up nowhere near Drogon and not drowning was utterly absurd. No problem with the rest of the episode though.

I definitely didn't expect the war with the Lannisters to take such a random turn. Admittedly smart maneuvering by Cersei but I thought she would be too proud and reckless to actually do it. Looks like the war for the throne and the war against the dead is going to happen in parallel now. This could make things a bit complicated to wrap up. I think Cersei will try some sort of trap using The Golden Company.

Littlefinger smartly playing the sisters against each other but he's going to underestimate Arya and have it blow up in his face.

Of those going north of the wall...Beric the most likely to die. He's played his part. Jon, Hound and Gendry should be safe. Jorah, Thoros and Tormund all 50/50. Hoping Tormund makes it though.

Poetic justice that Sam is the last Tarly after Randall was such a campaigner to him
He's almost certain to do something that is absolutely pivotal to the overall outcome in keeping with the 'greater men' jibe from his dad.

Randyll was a strange character incidentally.

Loyal, only completely reluctantly turned from his past allegiances, brave, obviously a decent commander - just a c*** when it came to his non-pinhead son

More so because Randyll slagged him off for 'reading about the achievements of better men' which has ultimately lead to Sam being pivotal in the war against the White Walkers while Randyll is getting burned to a crisp by Drogon
