Show has good bits, show has shit bits.

If people can discuss the good bits so too can the shit bit be discussed.
This is the thing though - no one is saying you can't discuss the shit bits. Dorne, sand snakes, lots of Sam scenes and some earlier season Dany stuff - all examples pretty much universally agreed to be ordinary and has been discussed as such. Big difference between that and people picking apart absolutely inconsequential shit to the point where they're researching medieval construction. And calling other posters mouthbreathers while they do it. ****ing unreal

Or making up equally stupid shit, trying to prove that the writers got it right - when Blind Freddy can see that they got it wrong? That's tedious.
Sent your CV to HBO yet?

Drop the crap Greyworm scene then if it's a matter of costings and time.
I wasn't a big fan of it either, but you're in no position to make that call, at least not yet. With 9 eps left, you have no idea how meaningful that scene is (or isn't), probably until the show has run its course.

Or maybe he realises that D&D are pretty poor at certain aspects of creating this story. Eg. I mentioned Brandon Stark not dying by flames and people in here pretended it wasn't the result of poor writing.
Haha, another one who could do it so much better. Who would have thought there was so much untapped cinematic potential being wasted on an australian footy forum, you blokes should really get yourselves some agents.

That stupid freaking Rickon joining the Prometheus School of Running Away From Things scene in Battle of the Bastards puts this battle ahead of it for me.

Ah well. Stupid character got an appropriately stupid death.

It's just amazingly shot on re-watch. The Dothraki riding through the flames, Jaime and Bronn's faces as they realise the dragon is coming...amazing.

Yep. Just watched the full behind the scenes vid someone posted a few pages back. The craft and technicality that goes into episodes like this are just something else, nothing in the same ballpark on tv.

But people still wanna spend pages dissecting the minutiae of inconsequential details that are truncated or shot for brevity or dramatic effect. Mind boggling stuff :drunk:

It is getting sloppy though. You could see the dragon's wristwatch in one scene

I wonder what the shelf life of those GoT poisons are once they're exposed to the elements though?

I mean, Oberyn wiped his weapon right before his fight started didn't he? And the two death by smooch smooch we've seen would have had the lipstick applied only minutes beforehand. Same with the poisonings in wine we've seen - dropped in right before the victim drank.

That's a far cry from wiping poison on a big dragon arrow weeks or even months beforehand in case your army uses it out in the field one day.

Yep, can't believe what I've read from the last 24 hours. I've generally skipped this thread from Monday to Monday, and now I know why...

To quote a great man from this board...

I can literally make whatever call I like. Why would you begin to think I couldn't?

Even if it has meaning, it was a shit boring scene. It's really no different to the quite widely held view that for a lot of the time any scene with Danaerys in it was boring as ****, even if there was supposed to be something important in the scene.

The time has come mods. Start a new thread for 'Plot Holes, Time Warps and the Twilight Zone'.

An exploration into time and space and the very fabric of the Universe.

Just **** it off from this thread because we've had enough.

If those not interested in discussing certain things never responded to those things the amount of time and posts dedicated to those certain things would looking back be significantly less.

The irony of these people blowing single posts up into many is not lost on me. Complaining about something while contributing to it. Too funny.
