Reckon Dany burning the supply wagons will be a factor next week. Her ruthlessness would not go unnoticed.
I think it's very simple to explain. Given that she left immediately after her little parley with Jonno I am thinking that it's entirely possible he bent the knee and they decided that if they burnt everyone's food then that ends the southern war quick smart and everyone is force's to focus on the northern threat

A bit of poetic justice for the Lanisters? Not like she was doing anything that they haven't done to others.

JCVD has a very dry wit. I believe you have missed his very clever and quite excellently made point. The trouble with satire on the internet is that sometimes you can misread the posters intention, particularly when they are good at satire.

Of course, emoticons would have made his satirical point more clear. They would have also detracted your attention away from his cleverness.

Read his post again with a smile on your face, then i think you will get it :)
Thanks for that mate.

I'm just surprised that somebody took it seriously! Historical research???

Oh, i was well aware of the tongue in cheek in his post, i didn't attack the post. I merely highlighted the many variables available to all whose imagination can run wild with this series...plot holes and all! There is even a TV show dedicated to Throne theories, (Thronecast) plot holes and possible conclusions. For the most part, the brains behind the Games Of Thrones show have done a great job adapting George R.R. Martin's work for television, giving us all the dragons and swordplay and bloody nuptials that fans of the books would expect. As for solid plot lines, there are no two ways about it, Littlefinger is a manipulative turd. That said, he's also a smart turd, and has a healthy instinct for self-preservation. Sansa is on her way to an "Elizabethan" style transformation (you know, the white face and and no bonking thing) Lying about her Aunt Lysa Arryn's death was the first glimpse of this transformation from pawn to major player and she no longer cares who stands in her way and that includes her siblings, especially Jon. She is going to freak when she finds out his lineage. The show itself must've been a tough sell for HBO to take it on, those books are long and Martin still hasn't finished them. Plot holes? For the avid book reader not everything's the same though, and adaptations can't always be 100 percent true to their source material, the death of Sir Barriston Selmy being one of the most bizarre. (He's till alive in the books) In Meereen he gets taken out by a bunch of untrained arseholes in a laneway? As the former Lord Commander of the Kingsguard, Selmy is a master of strategy and tactics, trained to look for danger and potential plots against his King. He was known as the greatest fighter in the seven kingdoms, so Barristan the Bold would never even have wandered into such an obvious trap or let himself be surrounded in the first place. Selmy is infinitely better trained and in far better physical shape. Just as an example of his power, in the books when Cersei kicked him out of the Kingsguard, gold cloaks and the city watch were sent to apprehend him. He killed them all. Without a sword. Selmy was the "John Wick" of Westeros, yet the TV show bumps him off without so much as a whimper? Dany sure could use him now, she goes home to start a war without Selmy and Ser Jorah, listening to the made up wisdom of a dwarf whose family she is trying to eradicate? Ser Jorah is on his way and her velvet glove is getting moist every time she talks to Jon, i just can't wait until she tries that "bend the knee " stuff on Arya! ;)

He was already free. He was released on the provision he gave riverrun up to Lannister/Frey control. I assume he has been allowed to rule at Riverrun with a demilitarized garrison under Frey control. Now the Frey's are gone. You'd hope he'd beging mobilising control of the riverlands again.
Walder Frey put him back in a cell.
"Edmure's back in his cell"

I think the initial deal was his freedom for Riverrun, but Edmure refused. Jamie then threatened to catapult Edmure's child into the castle walls and that's what made Edmure give up Riverrun.

The more I think about it, the more the spy theory makes sense - even if it's not Missandei (and I still think it is).

Think about the attack on Yara's ship...

Euron promised Cersei that he would return with a gift so valuable that she'd accept his offer of marriage. Everyone thought he was just a bullshit artist, until the events of episode 2 unfolded.

Euron specifically targeted Yara's ship, with the primary objective of capturing Ellaria & her Sand Snake daughter. They were the gift that he promised Cersei, implying that he knew he'd be able to capture them - before he left Kings Landing, and before they left Dragonstone. Everyone else on the ship was killed, other than Yara, Ellaria, the Sand Snake, and Theon (who only survived by reverting to Reek and jumping overboard). The other sand snakes were killed, but Ellaria & daughter were taken alive.

It's plausible that he could have predicted them sailing to Dorne, and the route they were taking - and thus the intercept is plausible without the existence of a spy. However, he's not going to make a big bold promise to Cersei if he doesn't know for certain that he's going to be able to keep it. This is what makes the spy theory far more likely than not.

The Greyworm "you are my weakness" speech to Missandie may be a plot clue because if she is guilty of spying

what does Greyworm do ?

JCVD is 100% spot on though.

Game of thrones is hands down the best production ever made.

Did I really just read through about 10 pages about if knights had Cotten padding under their armour? All because it's going to be a plot hole if Jamie doesn't drown?

FFS we don't even know what happens to him yet. Could be pulled out of the water and saved. Might bloody drown. Who knows.

Enjoy the bloody show. If you are looking for plot holes for things that haven't even happened in the show yet then I feel sorry for you.

Not every single little thing needs to be explained. Winge winger winge.... How did Euron get so many ships.... Maybe they are efficient ship builders and every man woman and child built them. Maybe he outsourced some slave work... Not every thing needs to be explained.

And damn me. If you didn't like seeing Wormsy and Mirsande get it on then you are not human!

Rant over. Feel better now.

soooooo... My question is, what is Little fingers next move. He is always a man with a plan. I am really worried about what it could be.

When Arya was going in the gates of Winterfell, they tell her that Lady Stark's in charge. Arya asks them which one, or something to that affect.

I could be having a stupid moment here but who else could it be?

Was she not aware of her mothers death?

Or maybe Robs wife? Or if Jon Snow then maybe his wife. But fair point to raise. I didnt spot it

She was a late arrival to the Red Wedding and put old mate on her list after seeing what he did.

... I was thinking 'is Lyanna even dead?' but then again I don't see what role she would have to play.

Except they would be a Snow would they not?
I mean Jon is a king now can't he legitimise himself? Maybe she thought Jon might have been legitimised and had a wife and that might be lady stark?

Maybe she thought there might have been a fake Arya? Lol I'm just trolling book readers there.

Does the the wife get the bastard name or keep her own name?

Does a bastards child keep the bastard name even if he isn't a bastard? If yes how would you differentiate bastards with non bastards that have bastard names?

It's probably just lazy wrighting from D&D. Not the first they did it this season with Jon saying his uncle was burned to death.

Couple of theoretical questions.

Tyrion is obviously conflicted when he sees what happens to the Lannister army at the end of the episode.
If it weren't for Jaimie, does anyone think he'd give a shit? He's an ethically strong character so obviously he wouldn't like seeing anyone burned alive but he'd be accomodating IMO if Jaimie wasn't around.
Secondly, pretty much since the moment Jaimie told Catelyn he would try and make sure Sansa and Arya were safe, he's slowly clawed ground towards being a decent character, a sympathetic one to an extent who is simply a victim of circumstance and genealogy. It's sort of two steps forward, one step back stuff. If it weren't for Cersei, and his penchant for giving her his lance a lot, as it were, would he actually be considered a moderate good guy like, say, Mance Rayder?

Don't think Tyrion gives a shit about any of them except Jamie, and maybe Bron.
He owes his life to both of them. But mostly Jamie. Bron has been handsomely rewarded for saving Tyrion. Jamie saved him just for love of being his brother. Jamie is perhaps the only person who has ever fully accepted Tyrion.

If Jamie is captured it is going to be a great scene seeing Tyrion trying to convince Danny to spare his life.. Esspecially with Danny doubting that his allegiance if fully with her cause.

On Jamie himself. He is complex, like most things in GOT. I don't think it is black or white, if he is good or bad.

Cersei has been just the worst influence on him. Most of the bad things (ie pushing bran out the window) Have been for his relationship with Cersei.

If it wasn't for Cersei I think as viewers we would consider him more of a 'good guy', however his standing within westeros, would still be questionable as the 'King slayer'. He will never get credit he deserves for that, the same way Tyrion will never get credit for the battle at the black water.

So the past few nights I've started off again from season 1 episode 1. So far I've managed to fit in 2 eps each night after the wife goes to bed. Nearly went for a 3rd episode last night but had an early start this morning.

I can't believe on how much that I missed out on or glossed over back then. Granted, I did tend to play on the phone a bit during episodes back then. This time I've been using headphones so I don't miss out on any conversations.

Been so good to pick up on stuff that had been relevant even in the last episode, such as Rob Baratheon talking about his first kill which is just like how Jaime tried to kill Dany. Also how Rob says they never tell you they shit themselves, which is what I think Bronn said to Dickon. Then Rob also saying not to face the Dothraki in an open field.

As much as I love this show, going to love it even more now that I'm taking notice of the characters and their stories in detail. Back then was so hard to keep track of all the characters, specially when some of them had nicknames such as Littlefinger. Only thing I'm not looking forward to is all of the High Sparrow crap, specially knowing that none of it is really relevant to the end game (that I'm aware of).

Also, I'd forgotten how much of a campaigner Jaime was back then. Love him now, though.

Here is the clip talking about the first kills.
