A little birdie tells me there is an union strike on friday which means all planes will be delayed by 5 hours. This will not help our boys preparation for the Carlton game. The best thing would be to try and fly in thursday to avoid the delays, but getting a flight on short notice would not be easy. As well as some of the players may have other commitments which would prevent them from being available to leave a day early. let's hope it doesn't have too much impact on the result. Kodie

I reckon most of the boys would beable to change their commitments for an AFL match! I reckon theyd be able to get them all on flights..even if they have to get separate flights. If anyone from the club is reading this...DO NOT LET ANY OF THE BOYS FLY ON THE MIDNIGHT FLIGHT! Its horrible (jetlag plus lack of sleep= a grumpy, tired, sleepy eagles who will lose to Carlton) they boys would certainly not be over it by Saturday! Im sure the club and airlines will have something sorted out in the next day or two!

I think now with the professionalism with the game, they should be able to seat the players on a Thursday in case a strike is due.

Or better still, John Elliot could pop in and pick up the boys in his private lear jet...:p :D ;)

I doubt that, thats probably more the case at Melbourne

At Carlton i'd say youd have to tick a box for an un-named ethnic group to support the "Azzuri" ;)
