Triple M just reported that we've coughed up 18 clangers this quarter. You don't many games like that. Very disappointing
Yup, completely outskilled by Brisbane in the last quarter.

No leadership displayed, Whitnall silenced in the second half after a great first half.

Guys I know it hurts when you lose but hell it was a bloody good game! you have a very good side there its the trip to Subi that cost you tonight your boys were tired they are a very good side and have a bloody good future ahead of you.

Irish was fantastic tonght
Whitnal played his best game for the year
Cloke and Ackland were good
Simo was great
Walker was good too
Anderson showed a bit...
You can now see the light at the end of the tunnel...
Couple of more good recruits and we are well on our way...

I knew it from the first quarter when our kicking was bad. We should have been a long way in front but we kicked at goal so badly. It happens all the time. It lets us down a lot.
We should have won this game. I'm pissed off big time!

Yes we did but in all fairness W.A is alot further away from Victoria then what Qld is to Victoria. Your Team has a future and a very bright one at that they simply ran out of gas . Your team is a great team to watch an really took it up to the lions tonight. Don't be down guys you did very well.
I could only listen to the game on the internet so it was hard to get a clear idea, but how do ye think Setanta did on Brown? There seemed to be an awful lot of ball coming into him so I dunno what Setanta could really do about it. In the last quarter it sounded like he held his own. I know Brown only kicked 3 but he was probably involved in a heap more. I'm always reading wildly differing opinions of setantas performances on here so I just want to know how ye think he actually got on, bearing in mind Brown is the best key forward there is as far as a lot of people are concerned. Thanks.

Broke even i reckon and imporved as the game went on. Would play him on Brown again if we were playing them again next week.

Commiserations guys. You blokes sure showed some heart out there, but as with us you've got a young side out there and there'll be some down weeks and some up weeks.
The difference tonight was the goalkicking. You had the better 1st half and we had the running in the 2nd.
I reckon Kennedy will develop nicely. Was hpoing to see Blackwell - he impressed me last year @ the Gabba.

Good post. In the end we were beaten by a time that was able to call on a handful of premiership players to get them over the line. You can't buy what the Lions have with Black, Power, Brown, Johnson, Charman, Copeland etc. These guys were part of one of the best teams we have seen in a long time. They know what is needed to get their team over the line when a match is tight. I think our kids would have learnt more from their experienced opponents tonight than they would have gleaned from last weeks game.
If Carlton keep playing the style of football they played tonight, they will ultimately start winning more games that they lose. It was extremely disappointing to lose tonight but they were far from disgraced & as you say there was quite a few positives that can be taken from the game. FWIW, I really think Joe Anderson is the real deal.

To match it for most of the game with that midfield was great...
In the end young players make mistakes under pressure...The last two weeks we have learnt from the best and i think its only going to improve our performance in tight contests...
At some stages tonight we were one goal away from blowing them away...
Only worrying things for me were
1/ Waites lack of poise and his poor decision making skills
2/ Houla's mistakes at the wrong time
3/ Carots desposal
4/ Fevs brain freezes and poor body language
Not too much to complain about tonight, was proud of the boys!
Great to see Simmo back to his best tonight...

His 3rd quarter cost us the game
He was s*&t. I know everyone is going mention 1 or 2 of his efforts and say its a great experience, but the reality is J. Brown had 27 possesions, took 15 marks and kicked three goals. He couldn't have played much better, thats near his career high of disposals. Seriously if he got those stats on Ben rutten and Crows supporters were saying how great Rutten was we'd be laughing at them.

I am devistated. We played a very good game of football only a few mistakes, lots of good signs and kicked over 100 points for the night.
Still we lost. Brisbane were fantastic and it may have been lucky but halfway through the 3rd quartre i looked up at the scoreboard and just sat there staring. 18.1 that is ridiculous. Maybe if they wern't on song we would've won.
But they were harder at the ball in the last quartre and deserved it. Lots of positives from the game
