After The Monster Thompson burst open our game against North on friday night I was curious as to who could really be classified a "gamebreaker" in todays footy. The guys who just seem to burst a game apart.

Example Dunstall was a Legend but through sheer constinency Lockett just went BANG. Thats the type im looking for, Lloyd and Lucas are sort of the same, normally to me Lloyd is always thereabouts but Lucas can cut you apart in five minutes.

So else is out there?

At the Hawks its my Monster Thommo and Croady
the best ive seen from the other clubs are
Carey (natural enough) Kouta,Lucas,Gehrig,Farmer,Jarman,A.Rocca (a suprise to some maybe)Molloy and Richardson Matthew not Mark

Guys like Voss,Bucks and Hird dont count as they are like I said above so even througout the contest. Im looking for those blokes that you keep thinking through a game "dont let him get a sniff of it just in case".

So who have I missed or who is coming up that will become this type of player in the future?

Grendel,
yeah Thommo's not bad is he? I'd agree with most of thre blokes on your list, and the others who came to mind were Peter Matera (though he's not exactly "up and coming", anyone remember the '92 GF?) and Ronnie Burns.

Koutafidis just took the Swans apart at Optus Oval yesterday, and Paul Kelly did exactly the same thing for Sydney in the same fixture last year.

Kouta was pretty awesome yesterday and yeah Grendel, Nathan Thompson is just getting better and better for you guys these days ?

Ronnie Burns is a game breaker, because he can be absolutely useless for three quarters and then kick 3 in five minutes.

Darren Jarman broke two grand finals open in 1997-98 so he has to be included.

Nathan Thaompson isn't bad, but he is still young. I don't think he'll be remembered as a game breaker when he finishes because I think he has the potential to be a 6 goal a week full forward.

Dean Rolly-polly from Essendon and Darren Bewick often break games open, who can forget Bewicks nine goals in 1996 against Geelong - I Can't

At Sydney you've got Stuart Maxfield and Michael O'loughlin, Richmond have got Matthew Rogers - five goals yesterday, Peter Matera at the Eagles, The list goes on.
