Half Forward Flanker coming off the wing.

That would suite him the best no doubt, simply because, as you mentioned, he's so unaccountable.

At HFF, he'll at least have the same role as usual in which he's fairly exceptional and consistent at, and also have the encouraging factor that he doesn't have to worry about being accountable.

The words Dyson and "exceptional" should never co-exist. I don't think he was the worst today but if 20 possessions is all he can give us when he has been in the system for long enough, then that is it.

Lovett-Murray had a shocker today.

Yep. Needs to be reminded that you have to put your body on the line.
Had a couple of real soft **** moments out there today :thumbsdown:

Yes i agree for the most part.
Dyson from what i can remember started on the Wing who drifted forward? And i think for most of the day Dyson was manned up on Braun who collected 30 disposals, 6 marks, 5 tackles and a goal.

When you put it bluntly, Dyson was good, not great but his opponent got more of the ball and hurt us more than Dyson hurt them.

The problem i have with him playing HFF is that an attacking HBF will cut him to shreds on the rebound because he is not accountable as his stats suggest today 21 disp 4 contested 17 uncontested. This all the time being on a player who cut us to shreds on many occasions in braun who needed to be manned up not played off.

Ramma, Nash, NLM, Dyson, Mal, Magin.

Ramma= Agreed, he's just bad.
Nash= half good, half bad.
NLM= Good one week, shit the next.
Mal= Didn't do anything bad really.
Magin= Bit harsh for a first gamer.
Dyson= Half exceptional today.

Rama would be the big stand out in been delisted from that group, and I think would be the only one that's gonna be delisted this year. (out of that group)

Not much else in positions for him to play in...

Forward Pocket?:rolleyes:

Exactly, HFF in another jumper perhaps?
He wouldn't exactly be the kind of player that you would worry playing against too much.
He has many attributes that other clubs are looking for in speed and he is still relatively young.
So he still has some decent trade value but in our side i think we have many players who also fit into this catagory who are more versitile.
I wolud not object to seeing what we could get for him at seasons end.

Considering we had 2 players (Hocking and Magin) playing their first game for the year and Dempsey playing his first game since round 2, I thought it was a fair effort.

No doubt the first half was disappointing, but at least we fought it out. 10 weeks ago we would've been blown away.

We lacked a KPP forward.

Today the Eagles had 7 players who between them have played a total of 54 games and all of whom are essentially first year players. We have 11 first choice players who are out for the season with injury so for us to win was a mighty effort. You can use all the excuses in the world but you simply weren't good enough today against a more committed and desperate team. Roll on 2009 because the young guys are going to be guns in the next year or 2. Just think of McKinley's goals, Spangher's mark backing into a pack and McNamarra's hanger right on 1/2 time.

Yeah mate... You won your home game, we won ours. 1-1 all in 2008. Good job to tie the ledger. Your mob looked alright without Kerr today also, better get used to that. Bring on 2009...
