I have a coat. I hope it doesn’t rain too much. But going to be game but it will be boring for me.

Go crows?
I think he meant "I have a cold. I hope it doesn’t rain too much. But going to the game. Make it worthwhile for me, crows!!!"

Deciphering deaneus fun posts has given me a bit of practice.:p

Explain losing to WB the following week. They’re mentally weak.
One of the (many) reason's they lost to WBs. Port have improvement to make same as all clubs. Marking a loss down to "mentally weak" is dumbing it down. How about giving credit to WB's. "Port mentally weak" "Geelong off a bye" is media spiel, that's all.

At the risk of being called “politically correct” - also known as “correct” - why do we call it game day?

Football is the game. The Crows playing football against Port is a match.

So it should be match day

As you were
Are they playing a game of football today or a match of football?

I disagree, Geelong are 0-9 off byes under Scott. For whatever reason Scott doesn't get it right at all.

There is media spiel, and there are clubs who have genuine problems with things. That is an example of the latter. It also does lessen the meaning of that game, but really it didn't have much to begin with.

What stupid flog decided it would be a good idea to play this game at 4pm on a Saturday arvo, and schedule the WA Derby the same day in the night time slot?

One of the few games involving two non Victorian teams that EVERYONE likes to watch, and they schedule it in a dead time slot. Are they really that stupid?

Crows by 3 goals.

Rucci bringing up the JJ ‘poster’ from Showdown 45 in his article in the rag today. Using the excuse to boost Hinkley’s record against Pyke to say it should be 2-5 not 1-6. If only there had been Snickometer sensors :drunk:
Rucci...what a spud.
I hope JJ does it again.

Bulls**t. I hope we kick the first dozen or so goals and then cruise home to a 100 point drubbing.

I don’t want another nail biter type game. That “plays for frees” leg break still gives me nightmares.
That would be awesome, but if we do win by a big margin Kern will be sacked; do we really want that?
that WOULD be funny though

completely disagree, especially bolded part. Btw, everyone knows Geelong's record off a bye, how could we not with every media source rattling it off, like they will again next year. "Geelong off a bye" is an excuse their supporters (& Crows supporters) use to avoid giving credit to Port. Port's pressure, perceived or not was the reason Geelong's players weren't good enough. Nothing to do with the bye, clubs are too professional for that.

He won’t be sacked, especially after Koch said he was coaching at the top of his game.

He will see the season out.

Game or Match Day would be ok either way. Game Day is slightly shorter plus it rolls off the tongue better.
