6 goals 15, for ****s sake, we can't get the thing inside our 50, but JUST KICK IT IN THE BIG STICKS FROM TIME TO TIME!!!!

I never said it did but none the less I'd still be curious to know as it is still a KPI of how we are performing as a team and a reflection of our strategy.

Various factors contribute to our forward problems.

Here's one of them.

It has a lot more to do with our mids lacking the ability to set up properly at stoppages in order to win clean possession and get effective clearances and apply pressure and force turnovers when we don't have possession.

No doubt Baily is a part of that, but if I am interpreting your hints you are specifically referring to forward line structure and positioning, which is not actually a top level problem for us but more a secondary problem that stems from a lack of intelligence and plain old hard work in our midfield.

Structure, to a degree yes, but I consider finishing and I50 marks the end product of how we play (collectively) and that was the emphasis of my post. Running goals are great but I50 marks are critical and a lack of them has implications on our whole game IMO.

That umpire needs a bullet in the head..

Maybe if the umpire actually watched the game, he would have seen a two wce vs one tapscott, and a wce player holding off tapscott.. That rule was made for the reverse situation!

Green is an embarrassment tonight.. :o

He's been very poor since bring made captain. Dissapointing and very surprising, I thought he would be the type to relish the opportunity and responsibility.

On a side note, Watts has seemed to fade right out of it since half time.

On an even further aside note, it's not the reason we lost but this umpiring is probably the worst (all around) I've seen for a few years.

But really, we are just a pathetic bunch of individuals at the moment. No run, no effort, no intensity or sense of working for team mates. No heart.

Boys v Men!

We've been smashed by physical size. Our small players have tried to run around the opponents prior to bringing the ball forward, but they couldn't negotiate the traffic.
This is not a problem necessarily of the game plan, but rather the players are too small to play more direct, through those defenders, a little like Viney once did.

Remember as the Cats were trying to develop the game plan, they were attrocious, until they had enough physical size to carry out the style.

We are still a bunch of adolecsents playing like kids, because we lack a bit of hardness out there.

1/3 Pace. 1/3 Skill. 1/3 Hardener.

Agree completely. My only issue is that it sounds like you're blaming the fwds for it. If not then we basically agree!

Edit: blaming the fwds and baily...

Can't wait to read demonblog, lol it's going to be more depressing than a Cormac McCarthy novel!

I'm not blaming the forwards mate, our problem is bigger than that.

we've got the talent, its just the gameplan and attitude of bailey is what is lacking

its also funny how when everyone names the bad players, its the forwards. Awesome supply they got tonight

I also love our recruiting staff, i'm not bagging lucas cook, but if we were going to improve at the current stage, why not take jack darling who was in our grasp who is a ready made crushing-packs forward instead of cook who will take another year or 2 to develop into a key position.

The coaching staff and players, at times are lazy, they all think its just gonna click with the same players
