Have to say, very dissapointing tonight so far.

As a supporter, it really is hard to fully grasp where we're at. We honestly shouldn't still be 2+ years away from even finals footy, but listening to tonights game, it sure sounds like we are.

We have had 13 more disposials from them for ffs yet we are 40 points behind.

And that is the most frustrating part. We think we have seen some improvement this year, then we come up against a team like Brisbane, who are good, not great, and we just don't seem to be up to it. To give any indication of improvement, we must start beating Brisbane, Adelaide, St Kilda etc because these are the teams that are in the middle group of the ladder & at a level we need to be aspiring towards as part of our progression up the ladder. We must run Brisbane close in this second half, or else the self doubt will start creeping in among the young players.

Yeah no depth at all, as long as guys like ackland and wiggins are playing we will go no where. You would have to think that Ackland is playing his last game for us, for someone only 195 cm he is dead slow and disposal is terrible. Not looking good for us with Brisbane just playing the Hawks game plan and just running us off our feet. It's amazing everyone doesn't use that gameplan against us, we really struggle with it.

FFS Ray Chamberlain is so inconsistent. How can Fev not get those soft holds at one end while Chamberlain happily pays them to Brown? A loose arm and then Brown turned around to push Setanta off making the hold more pronounced.

Our team selection was all wrong tonight. Ackland offering little big body or not. Bentick and Hadley = slow in the same team. Grigg overawed. Maybe they are just making us look that way.

Completely agree about Hadley and Bentick - I'm sure I've said it at least once before, but we are slow enough already, we definately do not have enough room in the side for both of them.

Ackland - Well, I guess its easy to criticise in hindsite, was in a bad choice, only if we give him another chance I think. Now we do have hindsight, it would be much better to give Hampson the experience, than to watch Ackland get slaughtered again next week. In fact, we would get slaughtered anyway against Sandilands, so no reason whatsoever to include Cain next week.

I'd like to see Jackson come back in for Russell, and I'd like to see carrazzo playing in the back pocket or get him out of the team, we just can't afford his turn overs, and his delivery into the forward 50.

Dissapointing that the boys couldn't lift for Stevens and Fev, FFS what will inspire this lot?

That wasn't 50, that was at least 70. It looked like Chamberlain was running the 100 metres in the Olympics.

Totally agree. he deserves his spot in the side. him and eddie look 2 be the only 2 that can hold a tackle 4 us out there.

Geez, Stevo didn't really put in there to stop Johnstone. Side by side almost and Johnstone marked running away. He really doesn't give a yelp when he finds himself down back.

Merrett makes Fev earn his marks but no 50s forthcoming. Fev goals anyway. Superb delivery by Judd who is far too good for our midfield sometimes and strong hands and give by Wiggins.

Have settled into the game and matching the Lions once the run is out of the legs but it doesn't change the fact we were blown away when it counted.

What a shit game to listen too............. If this is a test of where Carlton is at, it shows how bad we really are. 50+ point loss...........No point crying about how bad we are. Its evitable

It's not any one player tonight, it's the team. Brisbane have gained so much confidence against us over the last few years, they play as if there is no resistance.
Every Brisbane player,plays as if they think "it's only Carlton".
This is even before the game starts. Watch the first quarter again, and not one Brisbane player has any doubt they can beat their opponent. The Blues needs to somehow show that they are not afraid of Brisbane [the team] .
They don't play that way yet.
