Big News From Joe Dodgy's!
We're proud & excited to announce that Joe Dodgy's Dice and Games has successfuly purchased the remaining assets of Milsims Games from their appointed liquidators.
While the actual remaining assets were well picked over and of limited remaining value, we're very excited to now begin planning to bring back the Milsims brand as a refreshed and reinvigorated retailer.
We remember Milsims as it was at it's height, an absolutely amazing resource for hobby gamers of all types. We want to bring to the Milsims brand our strengths in customer service and order fulfilment to create a purchasing experience that every gamer will enjoy and trust. (Translation: You'll be able to get in contact with us, we'll be nice to deal with and we'll supply your orders.)
If you have an outstanding (UNPAID) order with Milsims that you're still interested in having supplied, please contact us and we'll start investigating what we can do for you. We WANT your business.
If you have an outstanding (PAID) order with Milsims you need to urgently contact the liquidators to register as an unsecured creditor. Their contact details are as follows:
PKF Melbourne
Contact Name: Mitchell Stewart
Direct Line: (03) 9679 2349
Direct email: mstewart@pkf.com.au
Please note that we have only purchased the Milsims assets, the original owners are still responsible for all debts and outstanding paid orders.
We will be leaving the Milsims website offline while we consolidate their remaining stock on hand, correct their database, update contact details and otherwise complete a general cleanup. When we make the website live again it will be with correct stock levels so that you can purchase with confidence we'll ship straight away!
We have not taken over the lease on the former MilSims location in Boronia and plan to source a location a bit closer in to the center of town, where hopefully all of our Melbourne customers will be able to come visit. More news as we have it!
If you have any questions, observations, helpful advice or just want to see if we really will answer the phone / an email feel free to get in contact with us.

Joe Dodgy having trouble with keeping stock levels on their site up to date. Just had two items refunded as they couldn't be found. One still showing as available on their site.

Meh.

Hmmm sounds like he might be struggling to manage his new stock and keep things running smoothly.

Thing is I can't play Wings of Glory - they have the starter but the two items they don't have are the boosters. Gotta go hunt them down at shops now ready for Saturday games day.

Miniature Market has a new international shipping regime, much to the chagrin of local stores I'm sure. Ignoring the political ramifications of a curiously well thought out private alternative just as the ideologues have the public service on its knees,

Over the past five years we have seen our international business decrease due to higher and higher shipping costs. Every year the United States Postal System keeps raising its rates and there was nothing we could do about it …. until today!

We are proud to announce a new service from FedEx called FIMS (FedEx International Mail Service). Unlike the United States Postal Service, FedEx bills Miniature Market daily for the total weight of all packages we ship worldwide regardless of which country they ship to. What does this mean for you? Lower prices!

Your package will be picked up by FedEx from our warehouse and transported to your country. Once it arrives in your country, it will be passed over to your local postal system for delivery.

$35US is still more expensive than you can get Codenames here, but it looks like an improvement anyway. Will be interested in the prices during sales.

Heads up with Gameology
Went to their warehouse and picked up my board game. You can buy board games at the warehouse on a cash in hand basis. Chatted with the warehouse manager and he said that Dead of Winter is $77 - few bucks cheaper than online.

Would've been around for 20+ years. They used to be fantastic.

Then they made you feel bad for browsing in their store, orders took forever of never came and service got terrible.Such a shame.

Sounds like the old warlords Minatures in Northcote from the late 80's early 90's. The owner lived with his mum upstairs and heard a noise downstairs in the middle of the night. Came down and found 2 rascals in his shop and then let off a round or 2 from his shotgun in their direction either injuring or killing one but can't remember exactly. Let off as it was declared self defence but got in trouble again a few years later when he shot someone through his front door as they were attempting to break in.

Used to have a great collection of figures but used to stand and stare at you like a hawk and not say a word.

Just tried to get a few things - doesn't seem to have made much difference. Postage still as much as the items.

Actually, the items were about 1/3 normal so it is still a good deal, but a bad deal at full price or even 25% off.
