Seems top heavy, but probably not too bad a move considering the opposition. Midfield and ruck are Carltank's strengths, having a tap ruckman of Gardzilla's calibre could be hugely beneficial.

Could he be the sub? Brought on after half time, could have a huge impact.

After losing badly in the Ruck against Sydney, ( abeit McEvoy rumoured to be ill ), its probably worth trying it before finals week one.
If it goes pear shaped we have a good sub.

It's well worth a crack.

I'd use gardi as the sub and play macca for half a game and rest him the rest.

After undergoing procedures overseas to remedy his ailing knee, Gardiner has worked long and hard to get himself up for this. He has had setbacks including some soft tissue injuries but it is a testament to his resilience and his determination that he hasn't given up. Good on him. And good on Ross for playing him - and by doing so giving the club more options coming into the finals.

Love Gardiner but would've liked to see a midfielder replaced with another one.

On the bright side though we should be a lot more competitive in the stoppages and clearances. Macca has been good but those are areas he struggles with.

Faz did get involved but he turned it over a few times as well. I was impressed with Gardi's spread from the stoppages and that 50m pass on the run onto Milney's chest was a sight to see. It remains to be seen with Armo. I hope he comes in, but Ross isn't going to drop Gardi after Saturday night.

Which also happened to coincide with Carlton subbing off their other big man in Kruezar.
