Not all depression is triggered by anything- an overwhelming feeling of sadness for no reason is quite often a diagnosis of depression.

Again- was he depressed when he was carrying on with her behind his best friends back ?

I cant imagine too many people arent in some way affected by depression.

Im not sure how many know someone who announced they suffered it just after getting outted shagging his best friend's ex wife.

It's creepy listening to Lyon cast his aspersions about 'anything' in the media landscape.
At least Carey had the decency to let time have a amnesiac effect on the collective mindset of the listener and viewer.

Dunno where you are going with this, Gaz confirmed in his recent SEN interview that he first sought treatment for depression 8 years ago. Others like Kennett and Newman have confirmed that Lyon has had problems for a long time.

It's not even relevant anyway. Lyon has never used mental illness as an excuse for loving Nicky - can't say that would be the best way to stay in your partner's good books..."honey, I only love you because I'm so bloody depressed"

I'll admit I was a little skeptical at first but you don't take a year off from well paying jobs seeing a psych twice a day and send alarming texts off to guys like Mike Sheehan if you are travelling well

Shit act rooting a mates wife (ex wife not so much) but hardly a hanging offence and certainly unrelated to depression.

Pretty sure the main reason he took a year off is that he was too ashamed to show his face in public after the dog act of shagging his best mate's missus.

He couldn't rock up to his old jobs on The Footy Show or on radio where he worked with Billy anyway as Billy probably would have knocked his block off.

Funny how he's conveniently right to start working again at the start of this year's footy season now that he has lined up some other media gigs.

I cant believe people think this was just a media stunt so he didn't cope media backlash from getting with his mates ex, The fact is at the time some people don't agree with it and even now they don't agree with it so it didn't achieve anything. do people really think he is going to give up certain jobs for a year and lie about his condition.

Its been said this has been a problem for a number of years would people like his doctors and all to make public his conditions would they, People need to get a life and stop worrying how others live there's, At the end of the day 2 single adults decided to get it on.

Did he really give up his jobs because of his condition?

Or did he give up his jobs because most of them were with Billy?

Well i think he took the year of cause of his condition, but it makes sense once he was coming back he had to move on from the footy show cause he and Billy would probably not be able to work together. and the way triple m are with there banter and all and what kind of radio it is it makes sense he moving on radio stations too.

It was obviously a tough week for him. How unlucky that you get caught potting your mates missus and get diagnosed with almost career ending depression on the same day
