Garth Pickford?

Just wondering what Blues fans thought of Garth Pickford, who played a few reserve matches for yers a while ago. Did anyone notice him? I believe he was a ruckman.

Can I presume your saying he quit Carlton, but is now singing or something?

Actually I've never heard of the bloke, only guy I know by the name of Garth is Garth Brooks.

He played in your reserves in the centenary year (1996?), against us (Roys) at Princes Park. Maybe he only ever made it to the supplementary list. He was a ruckman, or at least a tall bloke.

He also played as a Top-Up player again in 2001.

As a ruckman he had good palming skills but that was about it. Too slow for AFL and didn't do enough around the ground even at VFL level.

Bit of a cult hero apparently and plays bass in a local band.
