nup most polls have him ahead.Even sheedy has him as the best player ever.I remember when all that debate was going on about ablett being in the hall of fame,mike sheehan said that the case put forward for ablett being selected was that he put more buts on seats then anyone to ever play the game.

However, my statement was that is simply untrue that Gary Ablett wins most Greatest of all time Polls. He does not
So in other words, the "most polls" that you refer to actually translates to "kevin sheedy" (provided he did say that- I'm taking your word on it).
Most people 20yrs+ would nominate Lethal as the best player ever.
Ablett was the most exciting, and probably the greatest natural talent, but Lethal was the best.

Too early now to say that Jnr has done better than Senoir, but IMO he will go on to become a better player than him, he has been far more consistent thatn Senior was

Yeah you are right! When Snr only averaged 7.5 goals a game for the entire 93 season he was nowhere near as consistent as Jnr. Was it because he only played 17 games? Or because he only kicked a little less in the next 2 years?
