That's a very selective use of stats. You could take Plugger's best 4 years at FF and it would be more impressive. Longevity was the key - he won a brownlow in '87, and 11 years later, he was still kicking the ton.

Yeah - the difference is that these were not his best yrs at full forward, rather these were his only years in that position.

How can people say Ablett was the most gifted player (possibly ever) but then say "btw - i voted locket" ??? If Ablett was the most gifted, doesn't that mean he was the better player? some people confuse me!

This is a four year olds logic!!

If Andrew Symonds can keep batting like he did today, i think he is better than Bradman.

Like someone else said. Locket the better FF. Longevity and goals

Ablett i would vote as more exciting.

Pity Ablett is such a tool of a bloke off field!:thumbsd:[/QUOTE]

Ah there's a 99.9% chance u dont personally know him, so i'd keep the trap closed.

Its comments like that which indicate ur no better ...

How many goals would Ablett had kicked if he played a few years at the Basketball court?

Interesting to hear the Hawker comment about Dunstall being better than Lockett....Dunstall was getting some first rate delivery for almost his entire career while starring up front in one of the best combinations in football history. How would he go at the struggling Saints or the yo-yo Catters?

Umm ...... I think he still would have dominated, he's up there with Ablett, Lockett, Carey and Hird as the best forwards of the 90's. No doubt - dont start taking anything away from the great man! Piggy is a champ!

everyone is entitled to their opinion....... including you nipper

IMO Dunstall was better than Lockett but not by much.

Hopefully someone can mark the highlighted part , just incase there is ever another thread on which is the greatest team ever. ;)

He said one of the best, didn't say they were the best :p

Wow surprised Lockett is rated so poorly. 1300 plus goals will never be matched, now that Lloyd ripped his leg apart.

Lockett for me, Lock it in Eddy.
