Fairly significant gulf between VFL and AFL. I tend to think the better AFL assistants are well and truly entrenched in the system and I think it'd be great if he was reappointed from a grass roots level, but i highly doubt it with the way the game is played these days.

Yeah I doubt any club will - would just like to see him rewarded for his work at VFL level - I'm not saying as an AFL senior coach but a role at an AFL club in a lower position.

The discussion always get shut down but Christ... his side plays a fantastic, fast brand of footy.

That was a team of 20 AFL players they were up against.
Couldn't agree more. 13 points down into time on in the fourth and they still went run and gun through the middle and got their reward. Great performance by the players and coaches today.

Ports flag the other year was the result of a very unsettled opposition.
This year though they had a full compliment.
Don’t think he is AFL standard coach, but wouldn’t be surprised if clubs chase him to at least coach their 2nds
