I for one am rapt hes at the Crows, otherwise Hawthorn may have wound up with him instead of Schwabbie! Great player that he was he hasnt shown he is a good communicator as a coach, just ask Shaun Rehn (thanks again Ayrsie)

I think everyone is starting to take the piss out of you QT, but if your happy with a coach thats not going to take you anywhere near the finals then thats just fine with me, as long as you are happy, thats the main thing.

Dear Sirs,
On learning that Malcolm Blight has left your club because he thought your team would be crap for the next couple of years, I am writing to apply for the vacant coaching position. Like Malcolm I know your team is crap, however I believe that I have the qualities to make the AFC the powerhouse you
all believe it should be.
My communication skills are excellent after all I am the man that turned Gary Ablett into the outgoing, articulate gentleman he is today. In fact all the Geelong players loved me and would have begged me to stay if they all hadn't gone away for the weekend, hmmm strange that.
I take great pride as a coach in developing David Mensch as a top line forward. I am responsible for his fierce attack on the ball, great overhead skills, lightning handballs and long accurate penetrating kick s. I believe that my skill as a coach can be directly linked with the skill of David Mensch as a player.
My football pedigree speaks for itself. All through my playing career I wore the most magnificent mullet, so I should easily blend in with the locals.
If you appoint me as coach I will deliver back to back flags in my first two years and will make Sean Wren the greatest player in the history of the game.

We gave him a go, 5 years, long enough.
and the best he gave us was a humiliating Grand Final loss and ended the great mans career. we were shattered when he left.

Oh well, I'll tell you the answer:-
We are experts, this means we do not need to coach, nor play, we just need to make our opinions public, after the game has been played of course, and thereby show our brilliance, without ever having to make fools of ourselves on the field, or cretins of ourselves in the coaches box.
This is why none of us coach, it is so much easier in front of the TV, computer or in the stands.
QT, this is the unwritten law of
1/- being an expert
2/- talking footy on a computer
Please try to remember this so we wont be embarrassed again.

I'd have Gary Ayres as coach.
I thought his record at Geelong was excellent, and he left the Club with real scope for developement.
Having said that, if the crows aren't at least 6/5 at the halfway mark, I reckon he'll get the chop.

I thought Gary Ayres did quite well at Geelong. At Adelaide, he has a tough job. It is fair to say the club is still on a honeymoon period after the two flags. He is helping the club rebuild. Give him time, he might work out OK.

I have a sneaking suspicion he is Easty's uncle, and he wanted to return to the family. He can occasionally hang a sentence together, so perhaps he is only a second uncle, but there is definitely a connection there. As for coaching, I think by mid-season he will be in more trouble than a one-legged frog in a snake pit.
