I blame him for the fact that we now have to spend more time educating Martin..... so yes. The fact that Cameron has raised concerns that one of our players is having trouble with "simple life skills" is also concerning to me... especially one as good as martin.

Are you saying that March had no role to play???

I dont care for the back slapping .... March must carry some of the blame.
Is it the teachers fault if a student fails a test?

Depends if the teacher was negligent in identifying the needs of the student. Which, in terms of the context, most think hasn't happened.

At the end of the day nut you, like everyone else (or 99% of us), have no idea what went on in that household and it's not fair for us to judge.

I really wish we could work this out. Firstly March was to blame, then he was absolved from blame and now he has to wear at least some of the blame again. Whats the bet I check this thread tomorrow and March is blameless again.

Whish people could read......
We read just fine. We 'whish' people wouldn't start overreactionary threads about something they know bloody nothing about. Frankly I am still gobsmacked that anyone could start a thread even remotely criticising a person for taking in a non-family member into their home and treating them like a son no matter what you think the outcome was. What was the point of the thread? To piss as many people off as you could? You succeeded with me.

Absolute disgrace to hang the president out on this,Martin is an adult and should know the difference between right and wrong
Connors is an adult and he is gone.

Why hasn't lids or cotch ****** up ?

Good footballer Martin but has footballs for brains

You get that with some people look at Carey etc etc

To change the subject somewhat:

What are peoples opinions about Cousins comments on looking at coaching of some form?

Was discussing at work about how players at the club have shown the greatest respect for Cousins football knowledge and assistance in the teams development, yet his own current form shows that he's still not over his problems. Given that Richmond has had a lot of recent "drama", do you think they would stay away from him or do you think that they might have a good idea about what he can offer the club and will try to bring it in?

Dimma already said Richmond won't be going down that path

If people get upset thats their own fault..... it doesn't deflect from the fact we have a player that is struggling with simple life skills.... someone that is imprtant to the future of the club... The pres took him in.... which was a great gesture... and I'm sure G March is a ripping bloke of good Character... maybe too good a bloke... maybe the club has a whole has let Martin get away with things leading up to this... I hold March highly because he would have had a big stake in keeping martin from the claws of GWS.... but I just cant believe that the club would come out and tell the world that martin lacks "simple life skills" after 2 years living with the pres.... and for that, yes I am critical.

I suppose people that would have expressed concerns for Fev early in their careers were overreactionary.... or Cousins...

The amount of money that now goes into player welfare and now for this situation to unfold really makes you think how much money is actually getting pissed up the wall at AFL clubs.

It's against the law to admit a mistake...you've got to just keep digging that hole.
To sledge March for all he's done for the kid is just laughable (but it's not funny).

I have no where on this thread blamed March or the club for Martin being an A grade f....wit for taking un-subscribed sleeping pills. Something that if I was in charge he wouldn;t play again this season. Playing dumb and saying he didn't know ect...etc... doesn;t sit with me with the amount the AFL spends on Drud education etc... FFS we have a club doctor that Martin could ring and check......

If people think I am being a twit then fine....I know why I have concerns and I see my concerns as being important because of the calibre of the player we are dicussing.... and for the critism I'm happy to cop it because I am clearly worried for the welfare of one of our players.... regardless of how dumb he is.... all I am questioning is how the club can come out and say now after 2 years living with the president that they now need to take drastic measures to help martin deal with "simple life skills". If Gary march failed to see these now apparent flaws in martins abilty to deal with everyday things then i do apoligise..... but It does bother me that it wasn;t dealt with earlier..... Maybe Maretin is a bigger problem than we are lead to believe??? Which comes back to the only valid argument represented against me .... who;s respeonsible???? where does the responsiblity end? The reason he lived with march in the first place is Proof he needed educating surely????? ..... and if March is the the type of bloke described above then I'm sure he would feel somewhat responsible. I'm sure he is gutted. But ....

To me the Craig Camrons statements ...... missed by all on here..... is the real issue.... How anyone cant see that Craig Cameron hasn't bagged the crap out March in that Artcicle is beyond me..... rightly or wrongly. And thats the guts of the thread. Spin it how ever you like.

I'm sorry I've upset people..... Just dont want to see Martins life in the gutter.

I dont mind having different view on things..... and I dont mind digging into and issue that could have an impact on one of our players. Do you think I actually care about the situation???? do you think I am after a easy target??? give someone a whack for the heck of it???? Or do you think I dont want Martin talked about in the same breath as Cousins, Fev, Carey?????? if you think thats luaghable then fine..... you can share that laughter with all the other back slappers.

How would have west coast dealt wioth Cousins if they had their time again???? and no it's not their responisibilty..... but they were factor in his problems...
