I think it would be worthy to go for these two blokes in the off season, we wouldnt have to give them too much for their services. If we had one or both these, our defence would be complete.

A definite no on Gaspar for me and great hesitation with Hay

Gaspar is past his prime- there is no where to go with him. All that can happen is he prevents the development of a younger player.

Hay, well we have discussed in-depth already. He has underperformed at the Hawks in the last few years and perhaps is looking for a change. I'd be very surprised if he could perform at CHB and we already have a FB in Glass.

Unless we got an extraordinarily good deal, i don't think i would bother. Definitely not worth trading the likes of McConnell etc.

Both are worthless to our club, no need for them and we have other players who are capable of filling these roles.

Send them to the knackeryard down the road.

There's no point loading up on mature, injury-prone full backs when we have Glass. We're better off developing a back-up FB from our existing list. Graham?Wilkes?

We need a CHB. Period. We can either trade for one, or try to develop one from our list. Gaspar has often been mooted as the missing link to our KPP structure, but he hasn't played enough footy.

Kepler Bradley is the only CHB around who's worth going after. If we got Hay super-cheap, he might be handy, but if we're talking about trading an emerging young player, then Bradley is the only player worth pursuing.

I take it you don't feel that Hunter is an adequate solution? I believe he is very much in the same mould as Cornes, and as answered all critics this year.

But i guess it would be nice to have a CHB who is a little bigger to take players such as Hall and Brown, although i think that Hunter has done a good job on such players this year so far.

As far as Keplar goes, i would like him, but think we have a very limited chance of getting him.I've heard he's pretty happy where he is, and the bombers would want someone pretty decent for him. Kerr springs to mind.

Gaspar past his prime.
Hay had a one year only "flash in the pan" stellar year. I know thats harsh, but its true.

No thanks to both.

Beeck apparently had a blinder at CHB on the weekend.

Hunter has been fantastic this year. I maintain we'd be a much better side if Hunter played as the 3rd tall defender. This would give him more license to rebound.

I'm not satisfied that Brett Jones is versatile enough to really hold down the 3rd major defensive post come finals.

I also think we're still exposed against genuine height. Any side with 3 talls can stretch us. Ideally, Gaspar or Staker will be able to plug this hole over the next few seasons. At the moment, a resting ruckman or a genuine 3rd tall can hurt us.

Whether it's a CHB or simply a genuine 3rd tall, we need to plug this hole.

What a silly though of adding two has beens (HAY & GASPER) to our young and up and coming list I would rather go for someone younger that we could get some good service out of ,I would like to see Adam Mc Phee come back to perth he would be great at CHB for our footy club.

That's true. Maybe we could get Matty Lloyd at FF as well. Do you reckon Essendon would part with those guys for Zach Beeck and a 3rd rounder?

GUNNAR lets start slowly don't jump the gun mate lets sure up the back with another tall, tough, running backman first and the rest will follow.
Remember 92 & 94 it's was our backline that won it for us the opposition weren't allowed to kick quick easy goals. Mc Phee would be the person I would go after. :)

Not sure why you would go for a couple of old hacks (who are going to cost us huge $$$) when you have the likes of Jamie Graham who is being groomed as a KPP just waiting for the opportunity.
