I think you will find that my adopted player will be out for another 6-8 weeks after discovering a stress fracture in his other foot.

Apparently he is bitterely dissapointed, as you would be.

**** **** **** **** ****!!!!!!!!!!

how frustrating is this. We desperately need him to be able to hold down the centre half forward position, and each time he's gone out there he's done the job well (admittedly didn't do much last game, but earlier in the season).

Perhaps he should just take this entire season off from footy, and the coaching staff get him on the weights a bit to build up muscle around his trouble areas, and bring him back fresh in 2004.

I thought he was forced out of last year because he's injury was really bad.

Well maybe we'll have to do it again, just keep him out of harms way for the next 8 or 9 months, and bring him back in time for the start of 2003.

DOOGS!! HANSEN:D LYNCH(less no)

This is absolutely terrible news for the big guy. Is it just me or do others feel he may NEVER actually be able to live up to his talent? I really worry that its just gonna keep happening. i sure as hell hope not...but it is a concern:(

Bad luck about young Gaspar, I think he is a great talent but injuries are not doing his career much good at present.

The only shining light is that Hansen, Macdougall or Lynch might get some quality time @ CHF this year.

Really bad luck for the fella, he's looked the goods earlier in the season but injuries are starting to really hamper his career

No doubt the talent is there but how long can he handle being injured?

Do we know this for a fact? We'd you hear this MDB?
I haven't heard about it in the press at all.
(of course hoping it's not true......)

What is the source of this? I can't find it anywhere.

Very bad luck if it's true. Gaspar looks great when he's playing, but he ain't playing often enough.

Also, Hanson is not ready for AFL footy (mind you, neither was Johnson). Kicking 6 against Peel Thunder doesn't count. I mean, they're in such a bad state, they've hired Ken Judge to review their football dept. LOL.

If thats true, ouch.

There's been periods when Gaspar has looked absolutely fantastic, but his career may never get off the ground unless he can shake this injury patch.

6-8 weeks would basically write off his season. That means he'll be 24 before he'll have strung a full season together, and thats assuming he was completely fit and plays all of next year. Really, he has maybe two more seasons to cement his spot in the side, but if he gets to 25 without having played anything resembling a full year. his career is basically ruined.

Faaaaaaaark.

Oh well, loosens up the whole "how many spaces can we save for tall forwards" debate a bit...now they're fighting over TWO spaces!

I had a bit of a chuckle when I read they hired Ken Judge as a consultant for their footy team. I thought they were trying to improve, not bury themselves in a deeper hole.

I hope and think that Andrew McDougall will come into the side this week. If he does play - that will be 3 away games for him!
