I’m not here saying it wasn’t there mate or that you guys should EAD over the umpiring.

I literally said we got the rub of the green.
If you came here to say "we got the rub of the green" then perhaps say that to start with and just that. That's it.

Instead, you came here to make some irrelevant post to try and validate and justify saints getting the "rub of the green"

And you'll no doubt go back to your saints board where you disgusting clowns talk about jerking each other off, and make yourself out to be this big hero for posting on Ports board. You're a piece of shit.

Pointless responding to ***** like you too.

If you look at the statistics on our home games and umpire calls you can see that Port doesn't get the rub of the green often at home games and if Port does there is a forensic analysis on why the calls are wrong from the commentary team.

Historically against the saints.

Fair enough. I was just checking to see how objective you are actually being. It stings a bit that we got penalised for that after the umpires spent the better part of 2 hours saying that any contact to the head of your boys is a free kick.

And in terms of rub of the green, we are currently sitting at a 50 free kick differential to you through the course of 5 games this season. Maybe you can see how we are getting a little frustrated? Maybe that coming here trying to explain how one free kick was “technically correct” when you look at it in slow motion might garner the sort of response you are getting?

Look mate, the honest answer and this will frustrate you lot. Is that game wasn’t lost on free kicks paid or not paid.

It was lost with whoever came up with that hair brain idea to tag Nas with Burgoyne. Aswell as other moves like not having Bergman down back where is much better.

As soon as you dropped the tag in the third you went in a roll.

While I agree with that, the iffy free kicks and 50m penalities that resulted in goals do actually make a difference in what was a tight game. Take away the soft goal that Ryan got for ducking and give one to port that Horne Francis didn’t get for ducking and it’s a 2 point game. And that’s just 2 examples.

Sure.

But had you backed your better players in as you did in the second half. You probably never find yourself 5 goals down in the first place.

That’s what I’m trying to say. Which then makes the free kicks irrelevant.

It was a game won and lost in the coaches box more than anything.

I'd like to see the I50 stats from 10 minutes to go in the second quarter to about 13 minutes to go in the last quarter.

We dominated the game in that period and Saints played that Ross Lyon defensive protect the lead type of game, but we couldn't kick straight went from 2-2 to 5-9 at one stage in the 2nd and 3rd quarter. In the 3rd quarter it was 4.6 to 2.0. We played some great footy but when its 18 v 22 you have to put scoreboard pressure when you dominate and we didn't.

Or… you don’t get soft free kicks in front of goal and we do and we never get 5 goals down in the first place, then the coaching becomes irrelevant.

Look, I think most of us are realistic about where we are this year. But the disparity in the way that the rules are adjudicated and were last night, despite it being a majority parochial home crowd is infuriating. And if it went the same way against st kilda you would feel the same. It’s just another game in a long like where we won basically every statistic across the board except the free kick count, and at least 5 of your goals came direct from questionable free kicks and 50m penalties. Maybe it’s tha our players are undisciplined, or maybe the umpires don’t want to be influenced by a one sided crowd.

Plus 17 I50 to you for the second half. (Or something close to that)

It was on SEN this morning.

Xscore

Port 78.6
Stk 69.0

Further confirmation poor goal kicking and skills has seen us lose this home game and the WCE game.

If we were 4-1 it doesn't mean we will make finals, but our confidence level would be higher to take on the next 10 games which is a bloody tough stretch of games.

We need to seek one, its so overdue, and we need to go hard at Nick Foot and even go as far as suggesting we don't trust him to fairly officiate Port games. It should be open season on questioning his ability to umpire impartially
Even Rowey, who hates Port, was banging on about Nick Foot this morning. Foot shouldn't umpire this weekend.

Yeah I know what the quarter by quarter stats are, I took a screen shot, but I'd like to know the specific period we dominated the game. My guess is it might be something like 38-14, but I'd like it confirmed.

Can confirm it was me (and about 20K of my nearest and dearest) who called the umpire a fugging cheating bustard in the third term last night.

Sorry, Zac/Ollie 🫣

Honestly, if Abusing an Umpire is something they're now going to file reports on in-game, those maggots have A LOT of paperwork to submit tonight.

"Section 131, Row A, Seat 1 -Abusing An Umpire
Section 131, Row A, Seat 2 - Abusing An Umpire
Section 131, Row A, Seat 3 - Abusing An Umpire"

I mean the five goal lead was built on free kicks. Especially in the middle.

Nas getting gifted centre clearances for holds while Garcia is locked onto Butters like a clamp.

Voss got trashed on Thursday night for having Cripps on the bench while the Crows won "clearance" after "clearance" to bang on 5 goals. I mean, the first bunch were all frees so not sure what Cripps does there. And then you more easier clearances because the opposition is tentative at the contest trying to avoid giving away more free kicks.

Yes say what you like about Olsen but he's clearly not one to just tow the line.

I guess he doesn't aspire to the footy commission.

Koch will never get on the commission - that time has well and truly come and gone.

He doesn't need to be the one opening his mouth anyway. Really should e a job for Rich.

I actually likes Jas on Nas. He was as good as any options we had and he would have learnt a lot.

Bergman a far better option imo because he's got more size and could rough him up a bit in the contest.
