Of the four major "talking point" incidents over the last two weeks, Christian somehow managed to get three of the four wrong, with the Durdin one being the worst of the lot. Norf fans are right to be aggrieved by that decision. To suspend a player for an obviously fair bump like that is outrageous.

The Fyfe non-suspension won't generate much commentary on this forum I suspect Cats fans are worried about facing (misguided) accusations of hypocrisy if we complain too much about a star of the game not being rubbed out given that GAJ just avoided suspension himself two weeks in a row, but in reality Fyfe is ridiculously lucky to escape punishment for a hit that had WAY more force than either of Ablett's.

I reckon it would have gone like this.

Solomon was a king hit, designed to break Lingy's jaw.
Ablett's was a poorly executed bumperbar hit, with zero intention to hit the face.
