Good reality check going into the off season. Feels like the club was feeling a little bit to happy with itself with an 8 win season considering 4 of those wins came against 2 of the historically worst teams of all time.

Don’t give up our first for Rankine. Draft a ******* A grade Mid.

Season ended with a whimper. Some positives for the year but at least there won't be any back-slapping heading in to this offseason. We need an excellent trade and draft period, and we need to be ruthless with players that simply won't make it.

We're a long way off.
Ruthless? We're two wins against bottom teams from slurping our bathwater.

Soligo
Fog
Berry

Kern extension please

Ugly:

The recruitment difference in the last 5 years. Ports recruits all near the top.
Couldn't even be competitive with port power when they were effectively a man down with a cooked hack playing in his farewell game. Was a gun once upon a time, was a liability tonight but the team carried him through.

Back to back prelims to celebrating like you've won the flag to finished 11th

Well that was shite
Let the outside seagull downhill skiers do their thing.
Reckon they changed their gameplan for Ess and Us. Was hoping we might be able to break it down but we broke down really badly and so that was never in play.
Good for the first half.
Bad for the rest of it.
Second worst or worst game for the year.
We are one of the worst teams for not being able to interrupt momentum runs, oppos get on scoring runs and just keep on them and go quite quick. Soon as they do, we're stuffed since we are very slow to score. Pisses me off that we don't change up our gameplan to address this.
Could do with some more speed, McAdam and Rachele will help in the forward line. Hamill in the backline. Hurt to have them all out at the same time.
Prolly given the slipperiness we maybe shoulda gone Gollant over TT.
Tex had a bad game.
Milera pretty bad. Rowe and McHenry bad also. Keays too inexperienced up forward to know what to do to add value in that role in conditions and game like we had.
Worrell was more than serviceable.
Good to see Murray in ruck and around ground. An experiment worth doing.
Soligo and Berry very good. Schoenberg continuing his upward trend but not great.
Hasn't been a bad year, got a batch more experience into a lot of the players we need to go forward with.

This.

Kudos to Port Power, whom I loathe. Clearly, they wanted it more.

The Crows had the chance tonight to make a statement to PP and the AFL/footy world:
"It's not what we say that counts; it's what we do. Look out! We're on the way. We're coming. We have improved!".
<<sigh>>
They had the chance also to give us (and themselves) something to look forward to in 2023 but, well, 3 goals after halftime?
Becoming invisible in the last 10-15 minutes?
31 scoring shots to 20? 19 to 9 in the second half?
111 - 55?

I feel gutted.
