Just horrible. We are a long way off!!
Good signs for some of the young guys - Lazzaro & Powell.
I liked Young & Bonar down back.
s**t slippery conditions didn’t help, but we were outclassed all over the ground.

Had some many young guys give me hope over the last 10 years. Not many have lived up to it.

Well one did play for GC17 today but wore the wrong colours
We will be fine, this year will be hard but we will rise again

Bonar, Young, Powell, Lazzaro all positive.

Corr is a solid pick up. Jed in the clinches was a lone hand. Turner has limitations but can't ever query him cracking in - some of his colleagues could learn a thing or two from it.

Not playing night footy in QLD again also a positive. Going to be a rough year, but positives to be found in this group

After the preseason marketing spiel by the club about our yoof, after tonight I just don’t see the future.

Our forward line is a disaster, cannot understand why we would give Larkey another 3 years. He spends more time fixing his hair and flopping than he does leading.

Turner, Mahoney, Walker, Zurhaar up forward are not the future.

Atley, Tyson, Polec soft as butter.

Simpkin has lost the ability to evade.

Thomas steps up when the heat is off. LDU goes when it suits.

We have the knack of spudding up our brightest kids.

In almost 50 years of following the club this is the worst I have seen.

MEH.

Powell is so bloody exciting - reminds me a lot of Sam Walsh in his first year

Good:
Lazzaro
Bonar
Young
TT (in patches)
Corr
Jed
Powell

Bad:
******* pick your poison
Its almost like our young players are performing and our "older" players, i.e. those who have been around under the likes of Scott aren't performing.

Maybe we need to cut some more of the "under performers" at the end of the season?

I was sitting on the wing and as soon as the final siren sounded (within 1 second) Thomas went and gave Swallow a hug. Simpkin came and gave a hug to another GC played and then so did LDU. They had a good chat with all the GC boys with lots of smiles and laughs. They don’t care. It’s just a job to them. I wish I felt the same. Instead I feel old and sad.
