Big countries with space are great. I felt so closed in in the UK. I like that big sky and short drives to the country. Vancouver to St John’s for example is a similar distance as Dublin to Cairo.

With all the recent talk about some people wanting to move from the US to Canada, I got to wondering how cold, and how far north Canada is.

Something that needs to be seen in real life to fully grasp and appreciate imo

I left a nightclub in Stockholm at around 2am in the morning and the sun was rising, it was like it was about 6am, it was very disconcerting to have daylight in the middle of the night.

Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory stole my idea for Fun With Flags, vexillology is another interest of mine with plenty of interesting trivia:

- Nepal is the only official national flag that is not a quadrilateral (four sided shape)
- The Union Jack is not exactly symmetrical
- The white flag, a now universal symbol of surrender or ceasefire, was briefly used by the Taliban as the Afghanistan national flag from 1996-1997

I think something like 29 countries have flags with nothing but red, white and blue.
