Heard strong whispers that the much maligned Kev Barker is leaving rupo.. But time will tell.
If he does head 'down town' this would further take away from the quality of cricket in the GDCA compounded by the fact that 'the one man cricket club Harmon' isn't donning the whites in 09/10.
One must wonder where the GDCA is heading. What is the comp going to look like in 10-20 years time if the quality continues to migrate south?????
Grey to Romsey would be a big coup for a club desperate for an anchoring batsmen to compliment the wild one-day hitters.
Could change the betting market significantly

Only 4 weeks ago I was told that Grey was staying at United, SUCC are always filthy at losing any player to another club within the same comp, I really hope it is not true. Having said that it would be interesting to see how Grey and Fortune would get along...knowing both of them I'm tipping not very well

That will surely change with the seconds being a development squad led by FLASHAlso unfortunate to see that not one woodend junior was selected in the pathways squad for this year from u14's up to the u18's. Junior development going well.

Can't wait for season to start Ashfield will be keen for Redemption Has Kev Really left Rupo shame for them and a shame to the comp. Woodend getting Keane is a good coup and he might just be the bloke they need to get back into macs Who has been names coaches for this season.

IF Grey went to Romsey that would be massive coup for them, but my mail is that he will remain an onion.
Barker confirmed to be leaving Rupo and I also heard that the Pom they had last year isn't coming back either so they may be in a bit of strife.
Harmon definately heading OS for the entire season - Does that mean Lethborg and Grumont will stay at the Dragons instead of heading to Macedon?
Like him or hate him (and we know where the majority stand) Rocket will be a good get for Woodend on the field. Off the field.....well only time will tell!!!

I tend to disagree with this one. Rocket was accepted at the marsh as he is cut from a very similar cloth to his fellow marsh players (read into that what you will).
From what I have heard it would only be a matter of time until the shite hits the fan under a rocket captaincy.. he was always on someone’s leash, as captain he will run lose.... could be a firey match between woodend and diggers in B grade this year..

Ashfield are currently looking for a new coach Jas King will be concentrating on winning the clubs 2nd premiership the club is looking to expand to 3 teams next season and will require someone experianced to take the club into the future if anyone is interesed in helping this club expand please contact club.I tend to disagree with this one. Pretty sure they were anti that idea ,a few years back when it was proposed by a side that had just finished last in McIntyre. Funny how opinions change when the shoe s on the other foot. Do like the the one dayer comp proposal though

No 1 day comp we have to play 2 day cricket i reckon we should focus abit more on getting a 20/20 comp going maybe tuesday thursday night games.
The 20/20 comp has been going for the last two years, albeit not very well organised.

Dont start talking up our 20/20 comp its poxy we should have 20/20 games every tuesday have a ladder maybe 5 games then the best team can represent the gdca at cricket willow i would like to see every team play 20/20 it would help clubs getting some cash it wouild be great 20/20 during the week

I do believe a couple of woodends biggest names of the past decade are considering a move 'up the calder' to play mcintyre this year. Make that the 'old' calder. Will bat 1 and 5 and strenthen the team big time.
They not the only blokes leaving to " play mcintyre ", either. Precious.

I think anyone leaving the first couldn't be that good anyways, if they had any decent players they wouldn't of come last . They lost games chasing very low totals, where one fifty would of won it. They need to look at the seconds, some great players their, especially the captain.
