Brent looked a class above the rest on Saturday and the team as a whole are very slick, with at least 6 more to come in I was told. Their dominance allowed the coach Reece Holwell to have a pretty quiet day, spending a lot of the time coaching from the bench and letting the other players have a good run in the midfield. Was also told that they had 30+ players miss out on a game on the weekend which is good sign of depth. Might be a smokey for a 1s/2s double if they maintain their players
Thats ridiculous if they have around 30 or more missing out on the twos. Thomson were flying by the end of last year and a few people i knew thought they could actually trouble the top sides last year but not having a great start to the year caught upto them. Maybe everythings aligning this year. Play pretty tough contested footy.

Did they get granted the extra point allocation?

Wouldn't have a clue, but it helps that the forrest guys come with a reduction due to the club going into recess

Inverleigh by 150 plus
Thomson by 80
BPH by 30

I think Inverleigh are better then last weeks results show. Corio to win 2 in a row with Anakie to have a long year along with Winch. BPH and North should be closer than last years GF. The rest speak for themselves.... I think!

Question for any trivia buffs, is darren milburn the oldest senior player in the GDFL?

So your saying they are spending $50k oh please your information is wrong. In saying that they pay the cap because there team is worth it
Is medical supplies etc involved in the cap? Im assuming not. Unfortunately for the competition, well not unfortunately but it would be a kick in the guts to teams that are fighting to fit under the cap. But phantoms statement is true. Very close to the mark. Theres alot of that team that play for the minimum $50. And that is coming from very reliable sources. In the end the league would know exactly and what spectators, supporters, off field experts (us forum posters) and other teams think about any other side is mute.

Mate take it or leave it. I'm not on here spreading rumors and making random statements. My info is correct. If thy can win it paying a lot less than there rivals than good on em. Other teams need to recruit so spending more cash.

Too many clubs not represented? Werribee is the the only club mate.
Anakie, Corio and East only hav 1 player each. Thats not well represented in my books. West and Werribee none. obviously the final cut will b made up from the stronger league clubs, but it is a league side. Each club should have minimum 3 players attending the training camps/in a squad of 50. Even if its just for networking or player/club development. Then they can bring info back to their respective clubs and the whole league improves from it.
