I can't talk about the other 17 teams but that was a genuinely good game I reckon. 10 straight goals of back to fro.

I think May will be great in the long run. A good preseason in him and if we can actually get our best backline playing together we have a very solid defense. Just need the midfielders and forwards connecting and we can turn it around next year. The best we can do now is really upset some teams.

I always like seeing things like Mays reaction at the final siren. Some players play footy for a career and others are more like the typical fan on the sidelines. May is the latter.

Agreed. He’s a real anchor down back. What we’ve been crying out for. If we can clean up some shameful turnovers for goals, games like that should become comfortable wins.

How's poor old Hogan, gets over the foot training and playing on a hometown track that is like concrete, returns to a winters day at the G on a soft track and THEN does his foot.

I'm not optimistic about the blokes future.

Replay is currently on Fox Footy. I was thinking it during the game, but rewatching, Brayshaw is definitely back, the player that blindly bombs it forward, and jogs around the ground at all other times is gone. He's taking time to consider his options with his kicking, and most importantly, his attack on the ball carrier has gone from being a casual interest, to a dog with a bone. No idea whats behind the change ... but thank * it's happened

Missed it live ... but he went with "Petty crime may cost Melbourne a goal" when Petty had a turnover in the 3rd as well ... bloke needs to be pistol whipped.

The two fisted punch from May at 2.11 left on the clock to Fritsch on the boundary to completely release all offensive pressure that Freo had built is the point I think Topkent climaxed.
